Has Adam West Ever Received A STAR On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame?

But I have one!!!

I checked out their site again www.hollywoodchamber.net and OH MAN! It Costs $25,000 for someone to get a star...I had NO IDEA!

I always thought it was a selection committe that picked stars that were worthy.

I kind of agree actually.  It's somewhat surprising to me that he doesn't have one at this point.   

$25K is quite a bit of money though!   If the money is all that it requires, I myself would be willing to donate to that cause for sure.  Just not sure how many members we have on the board, and in turn what the average donation would have to be (ballpark) to raise that kind of money.   

I suppose if it's already been discussed on the board it may not be worth revisiting but it could make for an interesting hypothetical poll.  Maybe the member count has grown since then (?)

Thanks for the inspiration, gang!  After reading this thread, I've decided to start a "Get Adam A Star" campaign on the morning radio show I do here in L.A.!  We're in talks with Adam and Fred to get him back on the show to kick it off next week, if he's up for it ... If Adam signs on, we'll do a bunch of events to publicize the quest and raise the money ... I'll keep you all posted.

Is there a website that we can listen to your radio show on? I know a few of the local stations here in Portland have it to where you can go to their website and listen to their station if you aren't in the local area.

 $25,000?!...I thought it was $10,000!

 I seem to recall that was the amount that we "Trek" fans had to raise to get Jimmy Doohan his star on the Walk of Fame!...then once the money was there, the council SAT on it until he was on his deathbed!  Luckily, be was able to attend it...it was THE last thing he wanted to achieve before he passed, and he just BARELY made it!

 There's a group trying to get the last of the 7 lead Trek actors -  Walter Koenig -  a star at long last!

 Adam DESERVES a star as much as ANYONE who has one!!!...and MORE than some of the latest bunch of awardees!

 I don't think that we could count on EVERY member here (we're up to 1,386) to donate...many don't post, but at least they are members!   ...and even if EVERY one DID, at $25,000, that would "ONLY" be about $18apiece!  That wouldn't be THAT much to contribute and to be able to say, "I helped Adam West get his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!"

 (I'm SURE some of us would donate MUCH more than $18!)
