The EVOLUTION Sting Gun Replica is not 100% ORIGINAL SCREEN PROP VERSION accurate, faithful, but it's still nice, cool!A Replica done 13 years ,or more, ago,in 1996 by Kevin P.Gaunt, which cost $595.00,plus $15.00 shipping, was far superior, far more accurate, compared with this new one.I hope this one has the turn on/off light with meter needle in the open/close rear gold cap cover, the Stinger Sound,3 green emerald glass jewel crystals on the gold front fixture,automatic/manual extend-retract front tube extensions,a gold accented tip, with gold accent in the tip's center, these details would make for the "PERFECT STING REPLICA"!I suggest being extremely persistant with EVOLUTION about these very important details, contact these other prop makers too about it:-WWW.CYPRODUCTIONS.COM,WWW.MONSTERSINMOTION.COM,and FACTORYENT.COM,eventually,one,or more,of them will make, and will release,a much more detailed, more screen accurate, definitive,Sting Gun Weapon Prop Replica, let's go to it,everyone, contact them all!  Smiley Smiley

Nice to know somebody is finally making one even if it's not 100%.  It has a nice "read" in the pictures though except I didn't think the original was green.  I always thought it was black.  Could somebody help me here?

The prop makers to focus on,concentrate on,and petition, for a better, superior, more accurate, much more highly detailed, much more impressive looking, version of the Sting Replica, are the following:-WWW.CYPRODUCTIONS.COM,THE BRONZE ARMORY[an EBAY prop maker],and WWW.FACTORYENT.COM,these have all told me that they will be working on making "GH"props.CY PRODUCTIONS is going to have a Sting Replica ready by Winter 2009,THE BRONZE ARMORY was working on a Sting Replica prototype, and may re-visit the project very soon, due to the new 2010 movie coming, and FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT said they were big "Green Hornet"fans, and may do the Sting,and/or other "GH"related prop items,so let's keep being persistant with them, everyone! These are the people/websites to contact concerning a superior, better made, more detailed, much more accurate,high-end Sting Replica:-Jordan M.Schwartz["GH"fan since 1966]at FACTORY ENTERTAINMENT[WWW.FACTORYENT.COM],Clint Young at CY PRODUCTIONS[WWW.CYPRODUCTIONS.COM],and Allan Lavigne at THE BRONZE ARMORY[an EBAY prop maker].Jordan told me he would have more information in a few weeks for us "GH"fans,he loves talking about "The Green Hornet".Clint told me he would be working on his Sting Replica after Halloween 2009,and may have it ready by Winter 2009.Allan told me he briefly had access to an original screen used Sting prop, and had been working on a prototype some time ago,he now wants to re-visit the project due to the new upcoming 2010 movie,so these are the three prop makers to now focus on,concentrate on,petition, pursue, and be extremely persistant with, together all us fans can,and will, make a differance,a good, positive, end result, let's all go for it,fans! I found a good propmaker:-WWW.DIAMONDSELECTTOYS.COM,who can make a low cost, accurate, faithful, high quality, more detailed,Sting Replica.Their partners are a who's who of well known companies, including one we are all extremely familair with by now,20TH CENTURY-FOX!You can contact them here;CUSTOMERSERVICE@DIAMONDSELECTTOYS.COM.I also found a prop maker that has a reputation for making only the "BEST"Prop Replicas,S.D.STUDIOS,LTD,they have an e-mail you can still contact them at on the internet,I am not sure if they are still in business or not, their Replicas are very detailed, very well made,high-end,using the best materials, original blueprint sources from the studios, access to original studio used props, and are expensive, but worth it.Best of luck and success to all of us!  Smiley

Let's not take this line of action.  It's too pushy.  If one is making them or is really planning to make them, then great.  If not then that's up to them.  Real facts would be helpful here rather than speculation of possibilities.  It only creates confusion.

I'm seeing a lot of hyperbole here. A little moderation is a good thing.  Wink

Hi Sting,

I should clarify I'm not involved in the manufacture of this replica in any way. I did reply to your similar post over on the Hornet Hive board.

I can tell you're disappointed with the 'Sting' replica but, correct me if I'm wrong, none of the complaints you list were actually promised in the eBay listing.

You can't realistically complain it doesn't have the 'stinger sound' or the emerald 'jewels' or the 'front gold fixture'...when they were never promised in the first place.

And it does say in the listing that it's green...

Anyone who bought those Sting replicas knew exactly what they were getting from the photos on the listing.

Poor workmanship, flimsy telescoping tubes, yes, if that is the case that would be something to complain about. If it's falling apart already then you've every right to complain

There may be a solution to the 'Stinger Sound'. I'll let you know.

LL
