Dynamite Comics has acquired the comic book rights to the Green Hornet. Full details here:

Does anyone remember Now Comics' various series in the 90s?

I heard something about it, and that even Van Williams had written a story or two.  Anyway, at a time when there is unrest at DC Comics, this is indeed welcome news!!

I have the Now Comics series, I enjoyed it. However I am looking foward to this new series if its done in the same "spirit" of the company's current Lone Ranger series. Afterall I'm not really looking foward to the coming movie, hopefully this new series will be more satisfying.

This is great news!  Dynamite has been doing a great job with the Lone ranger.  In my opinion, it's the best comic going right now.

Can't wait!

According to Newsarama.com, Kevin Smith will be writing based on his unproduced screenplay and Alex Ross will be contributing covers.
Have a look here and discuss:

Thank you for the link.  It looks like Kato is going to be a female this time, judging from the pictures.  Should be interesting!!

Well the year one story certainly looks promising!  I am less excited about the Kevin Smith story, but it will certainly be worth checking out.

Iam looking forward to seeing anything of the GH to collect. Iam definetly going to be interested in the new comics. I have most of the 1990's NOW issues, and i would like to see HOT WHEELS produce a 1:18 scale diecast of the Black Beauty.

From what I heard from my comic book vendor today, it seems the comic is headed for the stores in March 2010.  And it seems a female Kato IS in order!

I am very excited about the Green Hornet: Year One books.  The cover art I have seen really makes me think they are going to get it right this time!
