The Bat-wings affected the flight characteristics (thrust) and the Bat-head SERIOUSLY blocked the pilot's view on landing!
Gene had the copter repainted after M*A*S*H and said that WB MANDATED that he had to use the '89 movie Bat-logos on the tanks.

I mean I look at the history page and that's one of the most famous scenes in TV history. That's a HUGE omission if it's true.
From what I read, and I don't remember where... The Batcopter was re-painted after the show, and was used on M*A*S*H. This would explain why the paint scheme/logos/wings are different then what we saw in the show/movie. If anyone knows anything different, feel free to correct me.

I asked Eugene today if the Batcopter was used in M*A*S*H*. He told John & I directly that the Batcopter was not used in M*A*S*H* at all. That it was a total different copter used.
I hope this clears everything up.
