From what I read, and I dont remember where... The Batcopter was re-painted after the show, and was used on M*A*S*H.  This would explain why the paint scheme/logos/wings are different then what we saw in the show/movie.  If anyone knows anything different,  feel free to correct me.

Gene has said it was used on M*A*S*H.  He said you could check the serial number.

The Bat-wings affected the flight characteristics (thrust) and the Bat-head SERIOUSLY blocked the pilot's view on landing!

Gene had the copter repainted after M*A*S*H and said that WB MANDATED that he had to use the '89 movie Bat-logos on the tanks.

Not to be a "poop" but those are the 1964 Batlogos. Yes, they were used in 1989, but originally issued in 1964. I'll go away now and join the Batgeek rehibilitation ward in Culver City, CA. for worn-out Bats. Huh

Hey SH! Eugene told me he bought the Batcopter in 1996. Here is more on it's incredible history if you have never read it before.

Yeah I've read & posted that history before, But I don't think the chopper was used in MASH

@Mauled: Are you sure he didn't say "It was the type of chopper used in MASH"?

I mean I look at the history page and that's one of the most famous scenes in TV history. That's a HUGE omission if it's true. Undecided

I asked Eugene today if the Batcopter was used in M*A*S*H*. He told John & I directly that the Batcopter was not used in M*A*S*H* at all. That it was a total different copter used.
I hope this clears everything up.  Smiley
