No VBC re-watch this week?

Just wondering? It's OK if there isn't. You guys (mods) have lives and jobs, and I understand those come first. Was just wondering. I can't remember a week when the announcement had not come by now.

Re: SCRIPTS: Peter Rabe's "Two-Face" and Semple's "The Joker's Last Laugh"

Oh, and I forgot to mention the total rewrite needed for the cliffhanger. That drill? Nope nope nope. Better a helmet that "makes you a robot" or a headband of something less....well, grotesque. I don't think a current TV series would use that as a child friendly cliffhanger. This is an e...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #155: The Entrancing Dr. Cabala

Also, fun recap of the career of Angelique Pettyjohn, whose life unfortunately was cut short way too soon by cancer. I think she would've made an interesting henchmoll. She loved to tell the story of how when she interviewed for the Trek part, which is described in the script as an 'Amazon,' she inf...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #156: Adam and Burt "Return to the Batcave"

Terrific show, guys. As you noted, this TV movie suffers from a lot of myths. As for the season 4 myth, what I'll say is this--remember, much of the Batcave had been 'destroyed' in a previous episode. Plus, you can't really 'bulldoze' an indoor set, to the best of my knowledge. But as you say, it's ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #155: The Entrancing Dr. Cabala

Also, I wish Ross had written in his first draft exactly what monetary venues Siren was getting from Doc and Cabala: Record stores? Concert box-office hauls? The toga stores for Gotham's college frats? ;) Good point by Tim about how 'Batman Meets His Match' was an oversell. Then again, so was 'The E...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #155: The Entrancing Dr. Cabala

I really, really enjoyed the show. This was a fun comparison of the original draft with what wound up on the screen. Some thoughts: From the call sheets I've seen, and I suspect the moderators could back me up on this based on paperwork, rehearsals and read-throughs were pretty much nonexistent, giv...

Re: Catwoman/Penguin romance in the movie

When she was lying on the table after they dehydrated the diplomats she says something like, "Oooh, Pengy-poo..." And she says it in such a way that implies there is something going on. I'll go watch the scene and get back with the exact quote and timestamp. I apologize for implying you w...

Re: Catwoman/Penguin romance in the movie

I have to admit, I'm not quite sure what you're getting at on this one in terms of the original post.

I mean, CW gladly takes orders from Pengy when scooping up the dehydrated henchmen, but I'm not noticing much else in terms of romance.

Is this schtick that's going over my head?

I have some personal matters to attend to (no, not with Siren at the High C Foundation Building), so I may not be able to attend today. We shall see. Fingers crossed.

Ross also talked about that in a Television Academy interview and it's referenced at 30:40 in this episode of the To The Batpoles podcast:

Re: SCRIPTS: the story that became "Dr. Cassandra"

Consider the youngest guest villain was Victor Buono, who had just turned 28 when he filmed the first Tut arc, but of course played much older because of his size and voice. To the best of my knowledge, and feel free to check my math, the only other under-35 villains were Frank Gorshin and Julie Ne...
