Re: RIP Seymour Cassell aka "Cancelled"

interesting that another noted character actor, Alex Rocco, was also a Gumm henchman. Possibly the most prolific duo from the series.

Busy Burgess

Not that it really mattered, but it appears that Burgess Meredith wasn't planning on returning had there been a fourth season. He was too busy elsewhere, with his range of projects involving playing Elvis' Navajo father in Stay Away, Joe. , while also directing one play, producing another and ...

Re: It is interesting to note how many actors are best known for their Batman characters

Not to be morbid but if you want to see what somebody was "best known for" at the time of their death, just check out their obituary at the time of their passing. History can be a bit revisionist due to changing pop culture trends and relative to ones personal exposure. Was Adam West mainly known f...

Any fan of The Twilight Zone already knew Burgess very well, considering he was a key part of some classic episodes.

I'd say Gorshin was already a name in 1965...he had signed for his 11th Ed Sullivan appearance.
One of his Ed Sullivan appearances delivered a huge audience. Of course, that Feb. 9, 1964 appearance also had some up-and-coming group from Liverpool on it...

On the topic of Rear Window action figures, we're almost there...

Barbie as Grace Kelly in Rear Window

Hitchcock has had several plastic avatars, so we just need Jimmy Stewart.
No Raymond Burr?

Re: I think Dozier rolled the dice with Gorshin

Gorshin appeared on an episode of The Defenders in which he played a killer who displays his insanity by channeling different famous people--allowing him to essentially do his nightclub act.

The Superman musical was broadcast on ABC on Feb. 21, 1975. ******************************************* Regarding Baxter's knack for Russian dialogue, this was from an interview in August 1967 during the filming: "Years ago, I learned a Russian accent from the great actress Maria Ouspenskaya. And I'...

I hate for Batgirl to be the damsel in distress, but the saber dance was fun, too.
A way to show offer Yvonne's ample dancing skills.
