Re: Diane McBain on Facebook

A very sultry lady. I have an casting list in my head for the SUPERMAN TV series I like to imagine William Dozier having produced, and Ms. McBain is my Lois Lane.

Re: ME-TV Batgirl Promo

Me. too. As a child of 4 or 5, I always wondered why Marlo Thomas never wore the costume. As an adult, I can appreciate how nicely she would've looked in the costume! Surely Donald would've approved.

Re: scene in 1966 tv series that is a nod to the 1950s super

Just for the sake of clarifying the reference. The verbal exchange: "It's a bird!", "It's a plane!", "It's Superman!" originated with the opening from the 1940s radio program. The radio show was extraordinarily popular, certainly rivalling that of the later TV program, ...

Re: Batman V Superman Spoof

Me, too. I'd particularly like it, if before they actually fought, that the two men came to an understanding and went off to fight crime together. "Superheroes" fighting each other has always left a bad taste in my mouth. Disagreements are fine - even good - but coming to zaps, bams, pows,...

Re: Behind-the-scenes/filming pictures

In Antman67's photo above of Adam West apparently rehearsing with Jill St. John, I believe, clearly shows why we never see Bruce Wayne remove his cowl.

Re: Actors you wish would have been casted as villains

I think Vincent Price would've made an interesting Hugo Strange - kind of felt the masterful actor was wasted on Egghead. I would have loved to see Paul Lynde on the show. Taking mothing away from Mr. Romero, I think Mr. Lynde would have had a wicked take on The Joker. Also, I've got to admit, again...

Re: The Archer, a missed opportunity (no pun intended)

I clearly like the Archer two-parter more than most of you. Admittedly, I don't think it's as funny, or as sensical, as it should be. I believe the problem exists in the writing - primarily in story structure, and not in Mr. Carney's performance. His Brooklynesque-delivery of the pseudo-Old English ...

Re: The Archer, a missed opportunity (no pun intended)

I believe robinboyblunderer is correct in his speculation that "The Archer" isn't a dashing, romantic figure of a man, but rather a plain ol' American Joe, apparently from a New York (Gotham?) borough, but has the desire and will to be Erroyl Flynn. As usual the show finds its dynamic in t...

Re: Adam West and Frank Gorshin in MTV Movie Awards skit

Since a number of the gags are directly related to that movie - it is a spoof of "Interview With A Vampire", after all - it would have to help. In fact, to appreciate the sketch's actual intent you'd have to have seen it. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this.

Very funny! Thanks for posting this, Gleep. Fortunately, I JUST remember the movie it's spoofing well enough to get all the gags. Sure miss Mr. Gorshin.

Re: WINDOW CAMEOS !! WISH LIST !!

Actually, I'm not a fan of the window cameo. They tend to be an awkward hole in the program, as far as I'm concerned. That said, however, I guess I would've liked to have seen Bob Holiday from the Broadway production of "It's A Bird . . ." as the Man of Steel. I would plotz to see that! Ma...

Re: A Tale of Three Kitties or Why the Various Catwomen?

In support of Ms. Meriwether, I'd like to state that if Julie Newmar had not returned to BATMAN for its second season and had not been party to the "adolescent boy crazy-cum-Batman crazy" transformation, I would say without flinching that Lee Meriwether was the better Catwoman by far! Once...

Re: Batman's Yellow Oval

As a child watching these shows I recognized the emblem as a sticker and was a little confused by it. Thought it was odd, but, of course I would've killed for one of them. Somewhere along the line I concluded that it had to do with cleaning the tights and making sure that the emblem is always where ...
