Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

Like was just recently mentioned, I loved The Banana Splits, the theme song comes to mind every once in a while and I can’t get it out of my head. Also loved Mr. Ed, Adam 12, Dragnet. One of my favorite all-time shows came out in 1969, Room 222. Also one of my favorite openings and theme songs. Roo...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

Danger Island, yes! Part of the Banana Splits Adventure hour! It may be interesting to point out that the Superman director, Richard Donner directed those episodes and that Jan Michael Vincent got his start on that series. And yes, Y.O. I am humming the Banana Splits theme as I write, not having he...

Re: Twilight actor may be next screen Batman

All things considered, fan films have proven that there is better talent and understanding for hero films than Hollyweird offers. Some of you have seen these, some of you haven't. You decide. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3oN3EJcfwE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j7d3lIAkes https://www.youtube....

Re: Twilight actor may be next screen Batman

Remember in Batman (1989) when he discovered which products the joker toxins were in, and how did he achieve that, detective work! I love Adam West, but I would have to be a fool to admit that he was the last good on screen Batman, many more great batmen followed him! But I guess that’s just my opi...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

So many good shows already listed here. Others I can think of are the iconic Adam-12 (they're in my all-time top 3 shows along with Batman and Star Trek) and Mod Squad (R.I.P. Peggy), Combat, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Tennessee Tuxedo, Clyde Crashcup, Q.T. Hush - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxQx4Mqp...

Re: Where is Gotham City

This implies that Gotham City is in the state of Gotham. Despite owning a copy of the DC Atlas that puts Gotham in New Jersey and Metropolis in Delaware, I've always thought this as well: that Gotham City is in the state of Gotham (with its neighboring state being New Guernsey). Along these same li...

Re: Where is Gotham City

I guess one could say Gotham City is in the State of Mind - being that it's wherever the Bat fan pictures it to be. Having said that, besides originally being in New York City as Andy informed, everyone knows the name actually comes from a section of New York City thereby making the Gotham City - Ne...

Re: Twilight actor may be next screen Batman

I agree with Andy about the rubber suits and Batwinged Hornet about the miscasting of Michael Keaton. When you get right down to it Hollyweird has never given us a definitive Batman since Adam. Everyone else has either been extremely over the top or completely off the rails. How many comics depicted...

I love TV from the sixties! I can’t really put my finger on it, but something about the shows from that era just make me so happy!
Try no political correctness. Fun and enjoyment actually were still allowed.

Re: Adam West High School Family Guy Adam West Tribute

John, I suppose it's a bit of a tribute renaming the school after Adam, but it seems more like a dig at James Woods than anything else. Than again, what do I know? I haven't watched Family Guy since season 2 when they decided to go the vulgarity route instead of comedy. As an aside, my brother worke...

Triggering the Old Batmania Feelings

As adults we get jaded after having 'been around the block' - so to speak - many times and discovering there's nothing new under the sun. My question is - does anyone else find sometimes they suddenly and unexpectedly feel that old jolt of excitement they had as a kid either seeing something in the ...

Re: NEW 2019 HALLMARK BATMAN ORNAMENTS!!!

So this takes care of the vehicles and the Bat characters, but am I right in saying they still have to do a Burgess Meredith Penguin? Next should be False-Face as there's hardly anything available of him. Oh yeah, I guess they could also issue a batarang and the bat-shield as well.

Re: Twilight actor may be next screen Batman

Kamden, I agree. Batman has gone completely off the rails - comics, movies, you name it. As much as I enjoyed them, I have to say it all started with the Burton films as Tim Burton was allowed way too much leeway in changing the character to what HE WANTED. All the interviews back then showed a real...

Szabol,

I had no idea the figures for the Corgi Jr.s would fit in the small Hot Wheels scale. This is very interesting.

Re: 1977 Batman Wrist Shooting Grappling Hook Toy

Man, I love all the old comic ads and all the cheapie toys we used to get at the 5 and dime store or the occasional find in the grocery or drug store toy section. I would have been over the moon back then to have found some of these Bat-items. I think as a kid cheapness didn't matter, only as long a...
