Well, he was the star of Batman '66 #7... :D
Wow!
Did they give him some interesting backstory? 8-)

Re: Batgirl's lair and origins

Having a degree in Asian history (southwest Asia, I think the show says) she probably traveled a lot doing research for her thesis. FWIW, In Ring Around the Riddler, she says she is a 'student' of southwestern Asiatic history. She doesn't say she has a degree in that field. Interesting. How does th...

Re: False Face: the creepiest villain

What's creepy about False Face is that the mask is his "true" face. Even at the end, when Batman has deduced his final disguise, there is no dramatic removal of the False Face mask. It's as if Batman himself accepts what is false as true. The comic book universe should pick this villain u...

Re: Batgirl's lair and origins

Batman had his 10th anniversary of debut in the third season, shortly after Batgirl's debut. If she was about 22 at that time she would have been 12 or so, in middle school (or more often called junior high then) at the time Batman began in this time line. LOL, the thought just hit me that this wou...

What's the deal with 1966 Penguin?

Why did they focuse on him so much? It was a pretty uninteresting and silly character. He wasn't the Joker, the Riddler, False Face, Bookworm or even King Tut. His gimmick was lame. Don't get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY loved Meredith's performance, he was an ace. But the character itself was bland IMHO.

Re: Was Burt Ward considered handsome back in his heyday?

What a great thread. I'm enjoying every minute of it. 8-)

I think Adam was in the same Roger Moore/Sean Connery department: "I'm elegantly handsome as hell", wherever Burt was in the "Good and Pretty American Boy" corner. Both had a great appearance.

False Face: the creepiest villain

I can totally see why they got rid of him and he only appeared on 2 episodes. He was scary as hell and much more interesting than the Penguin. Too bad. I'm sure False Face would have become a big icon in the Batman mythology if given the proper chance to shine. Instead, nobody remembers him. Wonderi...

Re: Fox and Warner: massive erasing on Youtube

"We must praise them for their efforts." Praise??? A little "overacted" for me...! Where were these people 20 or 25 years ago when we began to pray for the series?? WELL, they are scanning the series on 4K, which is the best and most expensive way to preserve a film product. The...

Re: Batgirl's lair and origins

I could easily see Commissioner Gordon being divorced. His poor wife probably worked very hard at cooking, cleaning, planning get togethers, and other ;) things. But when all was said and done, I can picture Commissioner Gordon turning to her and gravely intoning, "Well, dear, that was very ni...

Was Burt Ward considered handsome back in his heyday?

Just wondering. Was 1966 Robin a teen idol? Was he considered handsome?

if they got approval to use them it would be assumed that they could do the entire series. Seems logical.

Re: Batgirl's lair and origins

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that his wife is Batgirl's mother-she might be a stepmother due to divorce or death of the birth mother. It does seem rather odd that at Barbara's birthday get-together in the third season, there is only her father, Bruce, Dick, and Chief O'Hara. No mother! ...

Because it's right and legit. They own the series, and it is gonna be released on HD quality. They are spending their money to deliver a product.

We must praise them for their efforts.
