Green Hornet theme

Has anyone seen the new car commercial using the Green Hornet theme as background music? NOT the Flight Of The Bumblebee but the original Billy May /Al Hirt GH theme from the TV show! Its slightly edited for time but is unmistakably the TV theme. I thought it was gonna be for the new Dodge Hornet bu...

I had read years ago that someone in the studio's chain of command didn't feel that Jones was a dashing or handsome enough leading man.

Re: A Bat-Mannequin for my birthday

Do you plan to put Chuck Williams Adam West bust to replace the head then put the cowl over it? I actually spoke to Chuck about getting a display face, and he says I would need to cut the face off my mannequin to make it work. I don't have any cutting tools that can do that, and right now I am a bi...

Re: Did anybody ever attend a grand opening of Toys "R" Us and met the superheroes?

My first wife's younger brothers were twins and got hired to do the one here as a Kenner Super Powers tie in. They were both blonde nice looking guys. One actually moved out to LA and did some small parts in movies later. I saw some photos of them as the Flash and i think, Aquaman. I remember also s...

There may be bigger, more complete collections but that is the most moody, thought provoking room display ive ever seen.
Absolutely beautiful!

Re: A 1943 cape and cowl from WS2... with a twist.

Those are absolutely beautiful pieces and certainly evoke the look of the B&W serial nightime shots. BUT, I still love my blue 43 cape and cowl from WS2 along with the belt and gloves. I need to place an order for the tights and boots to fInish out my display. Andy, you really need to at least g...

Mark, im happy to see you came out on top and that crooked Sheriff didnt get away with his abuse of authority.
Politics play a huge amount in Sheriff Departments which is one of the reasons i chose to work for a city police department for 30 years. Less internal corruption and ol' buddy politics.

Re: 1943 Bat suit paraphernalia

I know its all in good fun but i think sometimes its a little too easy to over analyze this stuff. Serials were made with two things in mind- FAST and CHEAP. They were nototious for takkng shortcuts in props and costuming. Arguably, out of all the costumed heroes adapted from the page to the screen,...

Re: FIBERGLASS FREAKS RAIDED!!

EVEN if it was a murder suspect involved, and EVEN if he was in the very next county or state, protocol is to notify the local authorities and to have a representative present. The reason they didnt do this is the local authorities would have told them that they would not be executing a search warra...

Re: 1943 Bat suit paraphernalia

Larry if this is any help the 43 cape Lynne made for me is two layers thick. It is the finest piece of costuming i have in my collection, surpassing even my 66 and 43 cowls. The amount of hand sewing that Lynne did was staggering and does not come cheap. But for me it was worth every penny. The glov...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I feel kinda bad about my newest Bat purchase. Hot Wheels Tv series batmobile limited edition red line club series that I picked up at a convention yesterday. It was sitting on a table with no price so I asked the lady watching the booth how much and she said her husband was taking a break and she ...

Re: 1939 Bat Belt Fabric

Thanks guys. Where Lynne came up with gold metallic leather is beyond me. They are magicians.

Lou, i had looked at that DC belt buckle myself at one time. I think thats a great choice to start with. Oh, and Lynne uses a filler in the cowl ears to make them hold their shape.
