Re: Mr. Freeze
It's hard to find somebody willing to do it more than once- hey, it gets really cold! My real guess would probably be that George Sanders was busy at Disney doing the voice of Shere Khan for JUNGLE BOOK, Nobody wanted Otto to come back, and by the time Eli finished his stint, the budget for a frozen...

"...Another Glorious Day In Gotham City..."
Music that reminds you of the familiar opening scene in almost every episode, accompanied by William Dozier's iconic narration and stock footage of a major metropolitan city (usually NYC), composed by Nelson Riddle can be heard in other sources outside the Batman series. There is music for a montage...

Re: OFFICIAL BATMUSIC THREAD ADD TO IT WHEN YOU WILL
During his "Batman" work, Riddle took time to do one episode of "The Man From UNCLE" and the producer thought the work sounded so much like "Batman" that he never hired him for UNCLE again. Riddle scored the Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea episode "Escape From Ven...

Homemade Finger Puppets
I remember seeing Batman knock-off finger puppets from 1966 made in Japan in Chip Kidd's fantastic Batman Memorabilia Book and I'd thought I'd give a try making more official-style puppets, complete with phony packaging: http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/LewyTanner/fps_zps1356409a.jpg http://...

Re: Most Dramatic Moment
As far as the fake shooting of Commissioner Gordon in the Bookworm episode goes, a mere 2 1/2 years earlier the nation was shocked by the assassination of it's President. I'm sure it hit a sensitive spot for many who watched that episode back in the spring of '66.

Re: Most Dramatic Moment
How about the end of "A Death Worse Than Fate" when Zelda, surrendering herself to Batman, begins to silently cry- Robin accuses her of using fake glycerine tears again, but Batman puts the tear to his nose (what do tears smell like?) and tells him they're real. In the epilogue, prisoner Z...

Re: Most fun batfight?
I think it was really funny in "The Contaminated Cowl" when The Mad Hatter threw big bowls of salad on the caped crusaders during the fight at Hattie Hatfield's shindig.

Scratch Built 1966 Batmobile
Unfortunately, I missed my chance to buy the small-scaled 66 Batmobile at Toys R'Us and now they're out of business (near me anyway) so I made my own 4 1/2" version. http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/LewyTanner/littlebm.jpg http://i482.photobucket.com/albums/rr183/LewyTanner/littlebm4.jp...
"WILD!"
I watched "Green Ice"/"Deep Freeze" last night and I was reminded of the number of times Otto Preminger says the word during the course of the two segments, it has to be or close to the double digits! Does anyone know if this was in the script, was it Preminger's idea, George WaG...

Re: False Face - Should He Have Appeared More?
Roddy McDowell always said he was contracted for more appearances, but they never asked him back - availability or lack of popularity? Looks to be more availability, although he wasn't quite as prolific as Throne in 1966-67. Right after his appearance as Bookworm, Roddy McDowall started to get invo...
