Re: 5 generations of Batmobile at Chicago car show

She moved away to take pics with other people. My son and I were on the way out and there was a large enough group around her so I was just happy to talk to Batman before we left.

Re: 5 generations of Batmobile at Chicago car show

He said he had posted on the board but I never asked him for his secret identity...he's Batman for gosh's sakes and I left it at that. He and his partner, Batgirl, were very generous with their time, posing with people at the display. Batgirl must have brought her own wheels to get to Cobo. I have t...

Re: 5 generations of Batmobile at Chicago car show

Most people in Detroit were milling about the '66 Batmobile. They had a nice 10-12 ft diameter '66 style Batsignal shining on the wall opposite the display and music from the show and the movie playing at the display as well.

Yep, My son and I were at Cobo on Sunday to catch the last day of the Detroit Autorama. Got to meet a fellow board member and was kind enough to pose with me.

Chuck, if only every company that put out a Burt Ward likeness Robin statue, toy, figure, etc. had asked you for help in sculpting the features of his face. Wonderful likeness!

Hmmm, looks like Burt wasn't kidding when he said they made him take pills to make something look less obvious...

Re: Williams studio featured on 13th dimension

Wow! I look at that royal blue leather cowl and imagine just how much cooler that would have looked on Adam back during production. I wonder if the leather would have muffled other voices more than the fabric cowl, making it a bit harder to follow dialogue?

Re: 13 CLASSIC BATMAN TOYS Going Up for Auction

I wanted that lot of Aurora and MPC model kits, the six boxed Batman and Robin and the three build ups, including an Aurora Penguin kit. I told myself I'd wait and wait and wait because the current bid was so ridiculously low. Was late in getting back to my home the day the auction ended and I misse...

Re: Did anyone install Batpoles?

I'm with you Andy...go to garage sales, buy old books, remove the spines and glue them to the front of a pocket door. Space out the faux books into shelves by attaching a 1 x 1 strip of molding to simulate the edge of a shelf and you have your sliding door. If you're using the space as a closet, pai...

Re: Did anyone install Batpoles?

I'd worry about a potential building code violation maybe putting a halt as I could see some serious issues with crawiling babies exploring or even the errant curious pet taking a quick trip to the Batcave. I know you'd have a door installed to hopefully block a tragic event from happening but doors...

Re: Spotted at auction: "Batman" Fillmore poster (March 1966)

Looks like they cribbed Robin's pose from the cover of Batman 180, with Death-Man.
