Re: 1960's Batman actors and connections in The Batman carto

LOL. That sounds funny! I didn't expect to find any similarities between the 1960's Riddler and The Batman Riddler, since they are polar opposites in personality (1960's Riddler is a giggler, The Batman Riddler is serious), but after rewatching the two 1960's Riddler arcs I'd seen before and watchin...

Re: 1960's Batman actors and connections in The Batman carto

Another for the list: Mr. Freeze on The Batman has more in common with the 1960's Freeze than with The Animated Series Freeze. Both were indirectly created due to fights with Batman. (Both Batmans also feel responsible for this.) Both can flash-freeze people and things and also use a heat weapon to ...

Episode titles that don't quite make sense?

So I watched the second set of Joker episodes in season 1 and was left scratching my head over the title He Meets His Match, The Grisly Ghoul. What's a grisly ghoul? That doesn't sound much like a title they would give to Batman himself (so unflattering!), but nothing else in the episode would make ...

Yeah, understood. My question is whether the cane was used in the comics before the TV show used it or if the TV show was the very first time it was used anywhere.

Re: World's Greatest Henchman

While I haven't seen every episode yet, I'm pretty sure I will always rank H.M. Wynant as one of my favorite henchmen. He delivered an excellent performance as Frosty in his two Mr. Freeze episodes. He really pulled off looking and acting cold. The other henchmen in that episode didn't seem to remem...

Re: William Boyett in The Pharaoh's in a Rut?

Unfortunately, this time it isn't IMDB's fault, as he really is listed in the credits of the episode. But I agree, I just can't think he's the fake cop. The voice is just too high and it doesn't really look like him, even after the unmasking.

William Boyett in The Pharaoh's in a Rut?

So I was watching the first King Tut episodes on Saturday and was astounded to see William Boyett (credited as Bill Boyett) in the credits of the second half, playing a policeman. He's one of my favorite character actors (I love him on Adam-12 and Highway Patrol) and I remember being likewise puzzle...

Re: John Astin May Have Noot Been Good As The Riddler, But .

I just can't agree that Astin's two parter was written with Gorshin in mind. I didn't see Astin wringing his hands hunch over and cackling madly. Likewise I cannot picture Gorshin at the window of the banquet revealing his costume under a raincoat, nor can I imagine Gorshin doing an underwater bank...

Glad to see some interest for this fun cartoon. :)

Seanrt, that's true, I was thinking about that just recently! I don't recall seeing any other purple-themed Batgirls aside from the 1960's and The Batman versions.

1960's Batman actors and connections in The Batman cartoon

I hope this is the right board. It said 1960's actors TV and movie appearances, so it would fit. :) Does anyone watch the 2004 cartoon The Batman? I know it's generally hated throughout the general Batman fandom, but I love it and I can think of several reasons why 1960's Batman fans might be intere...

Re: Violence and Language

Hmm, very interesting. I wasn't aware of any profanity, even mildly. I'll have to keep a listen for it.
