Re: VBC - Saturday 10th April - Viewing Party and Discussions
I was glad to finally be part of one again since they restarted!! Sorry I couldn't stay the whole time. I do have other things on that come up. But the Shame/Camaity Jan story was one of my favorite two-parters (and the last overall!!) from Season 3. Even with Shame pulling the same scaredy cat rout...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #150: “The Astrologer”: The Proto-“Zodiac” Script
Seeing the original script kind of clarified for me why in the final three-parter Venus is a bit more schizoid in terms of jumping ship from starting to go sympathetic in the end of Part 1 to abruptly doing Joker's bidding again in Part 2 because the script was making of using Kandel's original sce...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #150: “The Astrologer”: The Proto-“Zodiac” Script
Two burning questions come from this: in the first part, they pulled the same schtick from the Chandell episodes where Bruce and Dick weren't in the area to answer the Batphone or Batsignal, yet that was resolved a lot quicker than in the latter arc. Why did they do that twice? Was that to play up t...

Re: Transcripts
Yes, that site's a bust now. But when it wasn't, you could indeed search Google or whatever by line and be directed to the Springfield script. They actually eventually had all three seasons before the end.

Re: Atomic Batteries to Power?
It was mentioned a few times, most notably the pilot that the Batmobile has a nuclear power source and it needs to be able to reach top speed faster than a normal car so they can get to their destination quicker than normal. Of course, it's also mentioned that when Batman and Robin aren't after a cr...

Re: 66 Batman Series Streaming on Filmrise
They must have separate libraries for different countries, but I don't see it in Canada. I do have the DVDs though.

It's a good thing this was bumped up. The source I mentioned was shut down a few weeks ago.

Re: Were the Green Hornet episodes the only ones not to have a Guest Villian in the credits?
Colonel Gumm was left out probably because of the Green Hornet and Kato's schtick as a crimefighters masquerading as master criminals. With the difference in tones in both shows (especially by Batman's second season), how many of you can admit to watching both shows when they originally aired? This ...

Re: The Dumbing Down of Batman
Most of the season was a parody than anything. Why would Bruce Wayne chair the surfing club or even the boxing commission? And yeah, that shaking hands with the Joker makes no sense. Whether he was coerced or not, he did just commit assault and battery not just to Batman and Robin; but Little Louie ...

Re: Favorite Catwoman Actress?
Julie did it perfectly, but Eartha carried it well in the third season. Julie's final appearance was "Batman Displays His Knowledge" where she finally had enough of Batman double crossing her; and their last time appearing together (aside from Bruce Wayne as her parole officer) involved he...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #106: The Funny Script Felonies (w/John S. Drew!)
Joker's earlier plots are good and oft times very sinister. Defacing art and ransoming millionaires in exchange for art collections, trying to win surfing competitions, being Catwoman's errand-boy and an "invasion from space" are not the same as creating a utility belt, corrupting Gotham's...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #105: Fifty Ways to Wreck the Joker
As cool as it was to see the Joker, he was only there to follow the Season 3 rule of every multi-parter has to be a villain team-up. The only thing he really contributed was the lethal Joker buzzer trap and an extra man in the battlefield. I'm also guessing it's because Joker is a popular Batvillain...
