Re: Cost-Cutting in Season Two
I recall it more in Season Three, but wouldn't be surprised if this also occurred in Season Two, especially later - having secondary henchmen never speak so they only had to be paid as extras. One obvious example is Surf's Up, in which the one Joker henchman never utters a word, despite fair amount ...

Re: How Batman killed the Munsters tv show
I'm a huge Munsters fan, and like Batman, even though it had a short run, it did pretty much run its course. The later episodes of The Munsters are similar to Batman's third season in that the envelope of absurdity was being pushed to the brink. I actually love the absurdist angle in both shows, as ...

Re: NY Daily News-August 15, 1967 (Visit to Bat Set)
I'm not as up on all the intricacies of the show's history as others. I'm assuming that by the time this episode was being filmed, the cast knew it was coming to an end, hence Neil Hamilton's nonchalant attitude? Then again I have read about other actors from that time who had similar attitudes. Ra...

Re: To the Rescue! (A TV Superhero Theme Medley) (arr. P. Rebecca)
Cool find! West's voice sounds as if he was older when this was done, and the copyright says 2013. I recently stumbled across something similarly odd, Burt Ward's sessions with Frank Zappa. Definitely bizarre, but interesting nonetheless. It's longer than some of the individual songs I've stumbled u...

Re: Wish list for the 1966 Batman show
I would have liked an episode in which Aunt Harriet was the central figure. There are some on which she's more prominent (Zelda, Chandel). I found Madge Blake very funny on Leave it to Beaver and in her short parts on Batman. I think she would've really delivered. I would also like to have seen a cr...

Re: Catwoman/Penguin romance in the movie
I don't recall any romantic interludes between Catwoman and Penguin, but it's been a while since I've watched the movie. Each Catwoman actress had unique traits. Julie Newmar's Catwoman was attracted to Batman, but her attraction seemingly always played second fiddle to her criminal pursuits. She di...

Re: Best and Worst Joker Episodes of the Series
Favorite - Zodiac Crimes. Joker strikes a nice balance between his overly menacing demeanor early on, and his overly cartoonish vibe later. His chemistry/competition with Penguin also works. Incidentally, this may be my favorite Penguin appearance also. All his put-downs directed at Robin are great!...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas!
I've been watching Christmas episodes of favorite old shows - Green Acres, Beverly Hillbillies, Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Jeffersons, Married With Children, etc.
But all we have for Batman is a brief cameo by Santa Claus when the Dynamic Duo are climbing a building!

Wow, I wouldn't have even recognized her with dark hair.
She was blond on the Beverly Hillbillies, too.

Re: A great Christmas video with Kenny G. and the Amazing Burgess Meredith
I've had Kenny G's "Miracles the Holiday Album" with this track playing all month.
I know he receives flak, but this album, like his others, sold millions.

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
I noticed this watching a different DVD - It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. I mistakenly thought Andy from Come Back, Shame was Christopher Shea, who voiced Linus in the early Peanuts specials. He would've been around the right age and the voice sounded the same. And according to his bio, he wa...

Thanks for sharing. That's one of my favorites arcs in the series. Not too many are left that were a part of Batman '66, sadly.

Re: Wow! Unseen Adam West Interview 1966
Tremendous find!
That's some excellent footage of Adam climbing the giant umbrella.
He even seems somewhat in character for the interview. Then again in that costume, it'd be hard not to be.
