Re: Anyone here know someone from any of the Star Treks?

My favourite Trek brush with fame was Grace Lee Whitney (Neela in "Batman", Yeoman Rand in "Star Trek"). She was at a convention in Brisbane in 1982, where we spent lots of time chatting and, when she was flying home to LA, she had to go through Sydney. I organised to collect her...

Re: How Batman killed the Munsters tv show

https://screenrant.com/batman-66-munsters-tv-shows-ratings-canceled/ Interesting that "Munster, Go Home!", made in colour, premiered on June 15, 1966, in NYC (and more widely on August 6, 1966) and the "Batman" feature on July 30, 1966. Both movies made to introduce internationa...

... if these are "all the issues published by Biljo White", were numbers 17 and 18 skipped? Issue #17 was better known as "Batmania 1967 Annual", a bumper issue edited by Biljo, and featuring Adam West on the cover. (Pic on "Fanlore.) This issue is remembered for a letter i...

Re: The Batman Serials, Hugh Hefner and the TV Show Connection

I know Van Hiss did Batmania and Batmania II, with the second one having more information than the first. Any help would be appreciated. James Van Hise (not Hiss) also did a "Batmania III". (Pioneer Books, June 1, 1996). I came across the reference online last week and remembered there wa...

Re: Wayne Manor Playset

It’s interesting that it says suitable for 5 inch scale figures. There are 3.75” figures and 6” figures. Does 5” just split the difference? The reference to 5" figures was in relation to the 1990s figures that were around during the time of the "Super Powers Batcave Command Center"-s...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

Did you find that Joker in store?
Ian's in Australia.
The Batcave came via a Melbourne, Australia, distributor who also sells on eBay. (The Joker came from a seller in China.) Most of Australia is in a looooong Covid "Delta Strain" Lockdown, so no one can visit toy stores.

Re: SDCC 2019 Batman '66 Stuff - NEW MEZCO LINE

I 've got money on those Mezco so I hope they show up eventually. It does feel like I will have the MacFarlanes in hand sooner. I just occurred to me that the Mezco, or Funko, might look pretty cool in the MacFarlane Batcave. Batmobile as well. In my head, that scale seems closer. We will see. The ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #165: Mr. Freeze(s)

But if I had to choose just one actor to be the ultimate Mr Freeze, I think I'd give it to Preminger. As much as I enjoy Sanders' portrayal (easily one of my favorite stories of the series) I can't see him working as well in the more comical 2nd Season stories. Part of it is his Bond-villain demean...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I went hunting for an extra 6” #Mattel Robin figure on eBay (my other one is the wall-walking Robin with wires in his cape) - and found a great bargain that happened to come in a pair with a loose Riddler. Since I already had a Frank Gorshin Riddler on my shelves, I decided to transform the spare o...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

I was curious as to the new McFarlane "Batman '66" figures but was unimpressed with his Batman and Robin sculpts. The Joker, however, is very impressive! Great face sculpt of Cesar Romero! I always found the Mattel Joker's shoulders to be strangely square. https://live.staticflickr.com/655...

Ian, that looks Fantastic! Thanks! The McFarlane Batcave playset also goes fairly well with the 4" Funko "Batman '66" figures, my 4" customs and the Funko Batmobile. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51386413228_2886301891.jpg McFarlane Batcave with Funko figures by Ian McLean...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

The McFarlane Batcave playset goes so well with the 6" Mattel "Batman '66" figures, NJ Croce bendable Egghead - and Mattel/DC Comics' Multiverse Alfred. (The John Astin Riddler is my custom figure, from Mattel's Frank Gorshin Riddler). Now I have to get the other Mattels out of storag...
