In "Joker Goes to School" it looks like he's holding it hinge side out. Maybe we never saw it unfold but it did have a split and a hinge.

I find the comments interesting. It is indeed a sad moment...saying a last farewell to someone whose performances were such a pleasure to enjoy. I met her in person back in the 1970s and she was incredibly kind and so delightful to visit with. To this day, after 40 years, I can remember her so vividly...as if it were only yesterday...
