Re: ‘66 poster promoting the yet to be released show

Who is the guy in the costume? Is that a prototype Batman costume from before the series was made?

Lol! An “oily creep”!?!?

I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of love for Bob Cane in the Batman world nowadays. Is that because there’s a feeling that he ripped off Bill Finger?

Batman Returns / Batman Begins Similarities

I just rewatched Batman Returns - hey, it’s a Christmas movie!...kind of, lol. Some similarities between Batman Begins and Batman Returns just jumped out at me. The two films are completely different takes on the subject of Batman but I don’t know how I missed these before: 1. Swarms of bats are fly...

Re: GI Joe 12" figures

One of my other passions besides Batman are GI Joe 12" figures. Sorry, Ben. I dont know anything about Action Man. Thought it could be fun to post about them here. The GI Joe websites I've come across favor the newer 3 3/4" Cobra figures. I never got into that. So please, when posting her...

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

As strange as it sounds, I thought The Minstrel was a pretty spooky villain. Those episodes generated some suspense and feeling of doom when the guy came on TV during the episode. The Minstrel was singing and everything but he looked like a real psycho with those jacked up songs. I think the scarier...

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

Greetings! I am resurrecting this zombie thread from 2015 because I am rewatching episodes and “The Puzzler” guy was basically unwatchable. What was he supposed to be? Wait, don’t tell me, I don’t want to know. I just wasn’t digging watching some old man with lipstick and eye shadow. The plane at th...

Re: Did anybody notice...???

Here’s one I just discovered. In The Zodiac Crimes episode, it opens with a map of Gotham. It’s actually a map of Manhattan Island.

It also has “Short Island Sound written on it!

Wow. I’m glad for the blu ray discs and the pause button!

Re: Did anybody notice...???

My apologies if this has been posted before:

At the beginning of the Zodiac Crimes episode, Batman puts a bug detector (or maybe it was the mini fire extinguisher) behind his belt.

A second later, you can CLEARLY hear it hit the floor and roll around!

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #109: Louie the Lilac baffles, Bat-conference informs

Wait.... In the Louie the Lilac episode, the flower children were filmed in Griffith Park? Outside the bat Cave?! You mean I parked my car there on my trek to Bronson Caves?? Wow! Also...poor Milton Berle had a terrible skin affliction in that episode. I only just noticed it. Poor guy has little bum...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

That’s real close, but the hood is slightly shorter than the 1930s Batmobile. Corgi and Eaglemoss both made a version this Batmobile. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ZmsAAOSw0wRZ-ZSq/s-l1600.jpg [/quote] I’ve seen that. It’s awesome, too! When I get some time one day, I’d like to scratch build a “Bat...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

That looks great! I think Kane wanted some remnant of his red Batman, and that car might have been the concession. That’s a great size next to the Hot Wheels 1/18 scale collection. That never occurred to me before but it makes sense. It seems Robin may also be a concession to the original red suite...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

I love Detective Comics #27! When the Batman TV show wasn’t on in the 1970s, I ordered the big reprint of Batman’s First Appearance . Here’s the question: is this THE CAR? https://i.imgur.com/1QyR5pT.jpg I think it’s pretty close and might look good in my office next to this guy. https://i.imgur.com...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

Awesome Find!!! I love the Corgi and Corgi Junior line. Try looking for the Husky Batmobile as well, is the first edition and is an incredible piece made in the 60s has a moving flame and comes with Batman and Robin painted. The peculiar thing that Husky/Corgi made was that they released several ve...
