Currently waiting for the paperwork to arrive, then got to get the plates made, register the new number, sort out the tax changeover and let the insurers know.
All of that hassle because of a 54 year old TV show.
Worth it though.

Re: Personalised licence plate for UK Batfans?
I really shouldn't have, but after seeing this thread this morning, I totally cracked and bought the number.
Will keep you updated when I get the plates made and fitted.

Re: Will Burt's Appearance on Crisis on Infinite Earths Set a Record?
Kyle Richards played Lindsay Wallace in Halloween (1978) and will reprise the role next year in Halloween Kills so that's 42 years.
As Burt played Robin/Dick Grayson in Legend of the Superheroes (as you said) then that's 2 years less.

Re: Looks Like Shazam! is Coming to Blu-Ray!
Aren't these MOD Blu-rays? How does that work as I've never bought one? The MOD DVDs were just burnt onto disc weren't they? Pretty much what you could do at home copying a DVD on your computer. Are the Blu-rays from Warner Archive done the same way, or are they actually pressed on demand therefore ...

Re: FTC Expands 66 Line With Boxes and...Vehicles?
I loved my old Mego Batmobile as a child and have often though about buying another vintage one to replace it. I didn't get a FTC version, as nice as they are, but if they actually do one with the pinstripes then count me in. I don't mind buying new versions of old toys, but I prefer them to be slig...

Zavvi Surf's Up 66 Batman range
I couldn't see any mention here, but Zavvi (UK retailer that ships worldwide) has a range of '66 Batman merchandise specifically tied-in to the (in)famous Surf's Up season 3 episode. It seems to be limited to 7 days only (currently on day 2) so I guess be quick if anything catches your eye. I would ...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I think it's still a great looking representation of the first appearance of Batman. At least his cape is black on the backing card, albeit with blue highlights so the figure doesn't look inaccurate. The main issue for me is that he's not properly placed in the plastic blister making his right arm n...

Re: Favorite Catwoman Actress?
Julie all the way. Even in the recent animated movies she's the definitive Catwoman. Even so, I still think that Lee and Eartha did great jobs. Maybe if they'd been the first version instead I'd think differently. Lee only had one shot at the role, and the movie is a bit of a different beast to the ...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread
New to the stable, er, cave Sealed Corgi Jr with no Bat emblems 311E6604-E7FC-4CB4-A91F-A642BE1A59F2.jpeg2A2E8D9A-8DC1-4D61-B672-A2AC667A9E84.jpeg Do you mean no emblems on the doors? I think only the Husky version had door logos, but I could be wrong. I've certainly never seen a Corgi Jr's version...

You can even see a slightly raised area where the transfer was supposed to be, that appears to be straight.

Re: Exclusive Hot Wheels PINK Batmobile
I can't say I'm interested in either of these. I've got all the black variants I believe, and even picked up the blue one because I saw it hanging up in my local newsagents, but these are just too 'out there' for my liking. I never bothered with the Halloween purple coloured version or any of their ...

Re: Funko!!! 4 inch figs!!!!
Unsatisfactory it may well be, but probably true. We live in an age where we expect information about everything, and are used to getting it too. If this was 10, or certainly 20 years ago the range would have just ended and no one would be any the wiser as to why. I was born in the 70's, so started ...

Re: Funko!!! 4 inch figs!!!!
I still don't get the whole Satanism comments. Isn't it just likely that wave 2 was planned but poor sales of wave 1 put an end to that idea? We can argue about why wave 1 didn't perform as well as hoped. Poor character selection, retail distribution, '66 Batman being a niche market or whatever. The...

Re: Bat Library Completed
That's the thing with collections, it's not just the products, it's buying cabinets and so on to display it in. I just spent over £300 on a new display unit for my '66 Batman collection. Worth it though. Love your book display. The only book I have is the one you've got top right, but i've got most ...
