So I built a portable Batman Climbing Wall!!
I always loved the way Batman and Robin would climb a wall and would talk to people poking their head out of the window, so I decided to recreate it! I wanted to make it portable, so I could take it to local Comic-Cons. My friend and I came up with a good design, where we built two 4’ long by 3’ wid...

Re: Surfs Up in Portland!
I did get to meet Andy Fish, really nice guy! I also got to meet Allan Quick who's also on this board, and his wife who cosplayed Batgirl. And I got to talk with Burt Ward! Needless to say I had a great time :D Great job! You look to have had some real fun with variation! Am I right in thinking you ...

Re: Surfs Up in Portland!
Thanks for the kind words! Agree on the logo, it was the closest I could find at the time. I'll do some more hunting, but probably won't be able to do anything before Walla Walla. You did a great job on those baggies! Should have used a stencil from your chest logo for the surf board though (incorre...

Surfs Up in Portland!
Thanks to inspiration from Bat Roy, I decided to do Surfs Up Batman for this year’s Rose City ComicCon in Portland this past weekend. Wow, was it well received! Everybody there loved it! For the surfboard I purchased a light weight foam board for around $60 and then painted it yellow. I had to use w...

Re: Matty Cowl Costume Matches
I think it was Navy Blue Satin, the four-way stretch kind, that was for the trunks and gloves. For the cape, I got Costume Satin from Wal-Mart.

Re: Surfs Up Batman cosplay
Hey Roy, you did an awesome job!
I’d like to do something like this for an upcoming Comic-con in Portland, can I ask where you got the fabric for the swim trunks? I’d like to buy the material! Thanks!

Re: Matty Cowl Costume Matches
Looks like you are on the same journey I began last December! I ordered the Matty Cowl and utility belt, tried them on, and just had to make the rest of the costume. I ordered the Williams patterns too. I just tried to get close in my color matching. Bought the stretch fabric from Joann’s, and tried...

Re: So I made a suit!
Looking good. Be careful, it can get to be an addiction. Can I ask who did your boots old Chum? Sure, I got the boots from ezcosplay.com, $58 including shipping. They make the boots individually to your measurements. I was worried about how they would fit, but they did a fantastic job and they're p...

So I made a suit!
I bought a Mattel cowl and utility belt, and thought "hey, why not make the rest?!" So I started googling and came across this forum, and found all sorts of useful tips and information! Ended up with the Williams patterns, enlisted a lot of help in sewing the cape and trunks (I had never s...
