Re: Mr Freeze rifle prop question

I found a Krylon paint that might be worth a try. Semi-transparent orange.

There's also one called Tamiya PS-43 Polycarbonate Spray Translucent Orange Paint 3oz TAM86043 which might be more appropriate for plastic.

Re: Mr Freeze rifle prop question

I attended the Batman exhibit at the Hollywood Museum a couple of years ago. Here is a picture of the Freeze costume they had on display. Hope this helps.

Re: Batgirl Belt Help

One more option is to do a 3-D print of the buckle. I found a design on Thingiverse.com for parts for the cowl and utility belt: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3116867

Re: Duran Batman boots

Just for comparison, a company called Motorcowboy offers a 1966-style Batman boot. They are charging $543. Here's a link to the description:

Re: Duran Batman boots

I don't know if they are still offering them, but I purchased a pair from them back in 2017 for $390. By far the most expensive shoes I've ever purchased.

You might check out this thread: http://www.66batman.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5744 I made a Batgirl belt for my daughter, and the fishscale belt I used is the same one shown in this thread. I believe I purchased it via an online vintage clothing store, but they are still available on eBay ...

Re: Green Hornet at LA Comic Con

Thanks for your kind words. Some of my efforts in trying to find an appropriate hat is the"green hornet mask" thread, and the coat in " where to get a green Chesterfield coat?" thread. In short I bought several fedoras in various shades of green. The one in the photos in this thr...

Re: Batman Stuff You'd Hate To Part With...

Just FYI, there's a guy on Etsy (CreativePal) that sells reproduction boxes of the Ideal Batman helmet and cape. I bought one for a helmet I picked up on Ebay, and it looks really nice.

Re: Phone Holder/Pouch for Utility Belt?

My solution was to hook a horizontal phone holster onto the back part of my belt, which was covered by the cape. You don't see it, but I could still get to my phone, debit card, etc. You can spray it yellow if you want it to match, but depends if it is vinyl, nylon, or some other material.

Re: Where to get a green Chesterfield coat

I took the thrift shop and ebay route too, but was not able to find anything I could use. The GH coat is more like a suit coat, so you'd probably need to go to somewhere that sells suit fabric if you plan to make your own. You won't find that type of material at a Joann's. Still, if you're doing an ...

Re: First post - could use utility belt advice

The fact that you had fun is all that really matters. I think the material that you used for the cape, gloves, and trunks looks about right. Nice job on the gloves; I don't sew at all, so I would never attempt it.

Looking forward to version 2!

Re: First post - could use utility belt advice

Maybe you could create a holder from nylon webbing like this example. It can loop over the belt if you want to remove it, and you can remove the can if you need to freshen up (or fight off sharks).
