Oh no! This is absolutely heartbreaking!
I called him my friend and I meant it. I wish I could have done more.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #183: Bat-Costumes' Dynamic Duo: Chuck and Lynne Williams
Chuck - if you were nervous, I didn't notice at all. You did great. Lynne was fantastic as well. I'm glad I got to hear your voices after admiring your work for so many years. I have many more questions about all that you 2 do that (hopefully) might be answered in a future interview...? Same Batpole...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #181: Who was Reuben Watt?
Thanks for putting a face to the name, Ben! Really enjoyed Randy Waldman's take on the Batman theme and learning more about Reuben Watt. It's striking how little progress Hollywood has made over the years (now decades...) in including more Black American voices both in front of and behind the scenes...

Re: Post a quote from the movie or TV show that you always enjoy hearing
Curse you, Batman!! May you fall down a flight of stairs and break every tooth in your head except for one and for that may you have a toothache for the rest of your life which shant be very long!! It's the use of "shan't" that really sells this one for me. Victor Buono had some incredibl...

Re: If Batman wore contact lenses...
Being a B&L lens wearer for 40 years now I sure could have used this product in the past. With the throw away dailies and 2 week lens these days I don't think at least for me that cleaning is an issue. The design is fantastic and I may just contribute. How interesting that it looks like a Pokem...

If Batman wore contact lenses...
...he'd probably have an ultrasonic Bat-lens cleaner in his utility belt. (Obviously Batman has perfect vision, so this is a nonsensical hypothetical proposition! Maybe Robin needs vision correction? One can never be too prepared?) A couple days ago I launched a project on Kickstarter to make such a...

Great episode. JB was the perfect guest to discuss this with. I'm sad to hear his own podcast is ending soon, though.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #169: “Instant Freeze” script: We don’t love a parade
You gotta admit, Sanders looks pretty darn cool in that space suit. Not literally, of course. I'm sure he's sweating up a storm in there. Imagine if they'd added some colored lights, maybe baby blue, into the helmet just below his chin. Maybe some Darth Vader-ish knobs and colored switches on a ches...

Re: Hatter moll Jean Hale passes away
The Contaminated Cowl/Mad Hatter Runs Afoul were two of the handful of episodes I that I had on VHS having taped off of an early 90's broadcast. I wore those tapes out over the years, they were how I fell in love with the show. I must have seen Jean's performance hundreds of times at this point. Re...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #168: “Dick Tracy” and “Wonder Woman”: The Dozierverse Stumbles
I think the inherent problem with the Dozier office in regards to made-for-TV creations is that their writers were not comic book writers and the production team didn't even understand comics, comic readers and what made a lasting comic villain character work in the first place. That's interesting....

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #167: Tom Peyer talks “Batman 66” and “The Wrong Earth”
He was generalizing about all comic books--not just Batman, Hmm, I didn't hear it that way. I thought he was talking about Batman comics specifically, and not including contemporary Marvel comics of the 60s. But to take your side for a bit, I do think it's fair to say that Batman comic books of 65-...
