Re: TO THE BATPOLES #122: Parade of Bat-Parodies

Citizens and podcasters, You may already be aware Victor Buono's "Fat Man's Prayer" is one track from an album that came out in the early 70s called "Heavy". I'm listening to other tracks as I write. It appears to be a live recording, which helps explain the audience' good humor....

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #109: Louie the Lilac baffles, Bat-conference informs

Hello, This episode was essentially a heavily padded Batgirl solo adventure, which was a good idea not executed especially well. The cold open features Barbara Gordon and Bruce Wayne entertaining Dick Grayson and several friends at a beach house until Bruce and Dick were kidnapped by Louie the Lilac...

Re: Script: PLEASE OMIT TOMATOES (a.k.a. "Louie the Lilac")

Citizens and podcasters, This largely unused script was a fascinating read, beginning atypically with Commissioner Gordon briefing his force, including our heroes, on Louie the Lilac. When the villain interrupts, the Dynamic Duo gives chase and are thwarted by a two pronged strategem. The first part...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #85: "Batman '89" Turns our Heads

Gentlemen, I am delighted you used The Piano Guys "Batman Evolution" for your intro. I vaguely recall mentioning it to you when you asked about renditions of the Hefti theme a long time ago. Anyway, watching the video again, I wonder if you noticed the walls of the Adam West Batcave outsid...

Re: Script: THE JOKER GOES TO SCHOOL, first draft

Hey guys,

The Wilburforce / Schoolfield correction I mentioned did not take place in the show, but I noticed the change was not noted once in the script.

Keep it up. It's lots of fun.

Re: Script: THE JOKER GOES TO SCHOOL, first draft

Hey guys, I'm glad you're back. I finally took the time to start reading this script. It's pretty close to what was broadcast. I notice how tight the writing is and how the principal's name was changed from Wilberforce to Shoolfield. I only noticed one instance where this change was not corrected. T...

Re: Script: THAT DARNED CATWOMAN, featuring Poison Ivy

Citizens and podcasters, Upon tearing my attention away from Poison Ivy's presence in the script, I happily focus on Catwoman. She didn't originally enjoy a saucer of milk while her gang looted Wayne Manor, which Robin didn't recall because of the drug's amnesia effect. Earlier, Batman was worried b...

Re: Script: THAT DARNED CATWOMAN, featuring Poison Ivy

Citizens and podcasters, I enjoyed reading the script with Poison Ivy before Pussycat replaced her. The main difference between the characters is Ivy using a thorn from her outfit instead of a claw to infect Robin, oddly in the circumstance, with Catwoman's drug. I like the idea of Catwoman having a...

Re: Your Favorite Batman '66 Comics

Citizens, I enjoyed the Batman / Green Hornet crossover comic series. The cliffhanger atop the train and Col. Gumm promoting himself were fun. The thing I liked most, though was the deathtrap later in the book that reminded me of the conclusion of the Zodiac Crimes. Good stuff! Mr. Deathtrap

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #65: The Black Widow goes camping... DAAAH-ling

Citizens and podcasters, I'm not sure anyone noticed the fine police work Commissioner Gordon did in his opening scene. Once Irv Cash reported the robbery, the Commissioner recounted Black Widow's modus operandi and revealed the thief's identity to a horrified Chief O'Hara. For the head of a departm...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #57: Batman's anniversary... and our own!

Hi guys, A few things jumped out at me as I read the Catwoman script. First, the guard Catwoman attacks in the teaser is put into a coma. Felix delivers the kitten to Commissiner Gordon, who hands it off to one of the many cops who hang around his office with him and Chief O’Hara. Catwoman disguised...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #56: "Batman" Jumps the Lizard

Citizens, and podcasters, As you were pointing out reused sets from this Penguin / Marsha story, I recalled the sub treasury, or at least part of it, was the cell block in which Penguin was imprisoned in “The Penguin’s Nest”. You can tell because of the high, barred window. Or maybe it's the rear wi...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #55: The Bat-Coffee Table Book

Hi guys, I enjoy your podcast and noticed you mentioned cut scenes from "The Zodiac Crimes" at the very end of the last one. It reminded me of the unseen scene from the Catwoman /Pussycat story of a bank robbery characters talk about. I think someone may have been cast for it, but it was n...
