Re: Eaglemoss Batman Decades Figures

Instead of spending that money on Eaglemoss junk that gets broken in shipping, why not purchase Jim Beard's new book "ZLONK! ZOK! ZOWIE! The Subterranean Blue Grotto Guide to Batman '66 - Season One". Heck, for the price of one broken figure you can buy TWO copies - one to keep and one to gift! Go t...

Re: Eaglemoss Batman Decades Figures

I ordered the 40s and 50s figures. Both were broken inside the packaging so I complained to Eaglemoss. They got back right away and said they'd reship the figures. The second shipment arrived and once again both figures were broken inside the packaging. Contacted Eaglemoss and asked for a refund whi...

Re: What episode is this pic of the first Bat Cycle from?

The Harley showed up in the second part to "The Penguin Goes Straight" called "Not Yet, He Ain't". S1 Ep22.
This marked the first appearance of the Bat-cycle in any form. The cycle used was a 1965 Harley Davidson with an attached side-car.

Re: Diamond Halts Shipments of All New Comics Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

The current situation in the comics hobby. Your mechanic gives your car the full treatment, checking every system. When he's finished he tells you the car will probably break down soon from the transmission falling out. You continue to drive it and have no noticeable problems and figure the mechanic...

Keith, would you consider contributing to a future book, perhaps regarding a season two episode? Jim is looking for authors and for different and interesting perspectives...Just a thought!
I'd be honored.

Thanks for the input. We have now shut down production on the book because your presumption might be correct and we just can't take the chance we might disappoint you.

Re: Explain your love for the Batman TV show to a newbie...

Story arcs don't really explain my love for the show. As a youngster in 1966, the first appeal of the show was it had Batman in it. Secondly it was in COLOR! Thirdly it was plastered all over pop culture media and was impossible to escape. Add the proliferation of toys (although none were directly r...

Re: Disney/Marvel to buy DC

When I was in one of Will Eisner’s classes in the 80s he warned us that there will always be calls that the industry is dying and that comics will go away. His opinion was that comics have been around since man drew on cave walls and that it will always exist in one way or another. I agreed with hi...
