Re: Holy New Trading cards Batman!

SketchCardsAndCovers, that's an interesting take on the series. Very appealing. Do you have any intention of taking a deep dive into guest stars from the rest of the series?

Re: TO THE BATPOLES: #136 Freeze/Penguin teamup and Dozier's ten rules

Another winner, guys. For all of the flack Dozier gets from fans, his "Ten rules" memo was largely the right call, especially his asking directors to watch the pilot. If the series held to the suggestions of his memo (including Dozier having to listen to his own advice), we would have a very differe...

Re: Hornet Gas Mask Prop

Nice work! My only criticism would be the logo is a bit too large on the mask.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #135: Batman ’66 Comics, the Gray Ghost, and Nostalgia

Tim and Paul, Batman referring to Robin as "The Boy Wonder" is not a mistake or flub. Respectfully, I believe the point they were making was the same as what is seen in that clip--Batman only would use that moniker when introducing Robin to someone else, not in a direct conversation with his proteg...

Tim and Paul, Batman referring to Robin as "The Boy Wonder" is not a mistake or flub. During the wall climbing sequence link, jump to @0:30-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUuv_fEJMpI Paul, you mentioned Al Milgrom's terrible David Letterman illustration...not a surprise, since Milgrom was so awfu...

Re: GH on Blue ray

Thanks for the post, Ben. The default thought for anyone interested in seeing The Green Hornet released to the home video market should be: "Did Fox (and/or whoever owns the GH property) make an official announcement?" It won't take long to find the answer, which is no at this point, which should al...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

I finally found the little DC Nano 66 Penguin figure to go with the Batman and Joker figures. Glad to have them all. Also picked up a Jim Gordon from the Animated series. https://static3.tcdn.com.br/img/img_prod/460977/nano_metalfigs_pinguim_penguin_dc_comics_dc49_jada_toys_39301_2_20181217184607.j...

Re: New Batman Movie

Batman has changed several times over his published existence, so it should come as no surprise that movies treat the character the same way, although there were comic versions that were bad from the start, like the latter half of the Golden Age and into early Silver, where the character almost took...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #134: What’s My Crime? Bob Dozier’s Joker Drafts

Great show, guys. Tim, you were right about the high number of characters dying on 1960s TV series; think of Star Trek --far beyond the old joke about all of the "redshirts" dying, a large number of guest characters met their end in the Final Frontier. On Batman --specifically "Better Luck Next Time...

Re: Spanish DVD?

I've tried to find the answer to this through the search function of the forum, can't find it mentioned? Or maybe I have not tried hard enough?! I have found this by doing a simple search on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-Hornet-Complete-Spanish-Release/dp/B0776C138S/ref=sr_1_3?crid=M2...

Re: FIRST LOOK: The BATMAN ’66 UNITED UNDERWORLD Playset You’ve Waited Decades For

My Japanese "Mediacom Toy Corporation" Kato & the Green Hornet turned out to be 9" tall each, a little taller than expected (and advertised on eBay). Cannibalising a retro Mego-style Captain Pike (from "Star Trek"), I was able to make Kato more in scale with FTC's 8" Robin and 9" Green Hornet. Kato...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #133: Scott Sebring is here! Holy Bat-cyclopedia!

Interesting show, Scott (and the brothers still trying to get over living through season three)! Although the '66 series is on blu ray, there is one last, major part of the series left for fans to discuss....you guessed it--the TV soundtrack. I've heard there are rights issues involved with the musi...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #132: Women of Season One: Not Just "Poor, Deluded Girls"

Jim, great point about Lisa as portrayed by Diane McBain; she was completely confident, sly and just as much into being on the wrong side of the law as the Mad Hatter. She--like Blaze and Limpet go some way in breaking the "poor, deluded girl" narrative of season one's female characters/molls. I wou...
