Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #099: The Kitt-y Cat Shows her Claws

Another winner, guys. Similar to third season's Joker wanting to be king of the surf, and Louie's similarly inexplicable interests among the flower children, the new Catwoman is obsessed with plans as ambitious as a teenage girl wanting to be prom queen. This is no longer the calculating Catwoman, b...

Re: Robin, Batgirl and Vietnam

Bob, that's great research, but as dell mentioned, if true, I wonder why Burt never mentioned it over the decades? Could it have been a publicity stunt only to "explain" why Batgirl was being added to the series, or taking the teeth out of pro-Vietnam critical who thought young stars should "do thei...

Just saw this. Very cool.
Not one of mine (obviously) but very well done. Was that one of Alex Ross' covers for the Kevin Smith/Ralph Garman-penned Batman/Green Hornet series?
Yes, that's one of Alex Ross' pieces for the crossover comic. Always a pleasure to revisit.

Meaning the 1968 animated car took more influences from the Gene Winfield Reactor more than that car image you posted from the 1977 cartoon..

Re: Catwoman's (Eartha Kitt's) Kitty Car is coming from Eaglemoss

I was surprised how much "The New Adventures of Batman" cartoon took influence from Eartha's Kitty Car. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4849/46020898381_21b003da02.jpg Kitty Car by Ian McLean , on Flickr Actually, the car Catwoman's vehicle took most of its influence from was the vehicle from the 19...

Re: BAT 77 Episode #05 - The Shapeshifting Felon / The Joker is Spellin'

The Chameleon was one of the better new villains of the series: he was all about business, and not a silly, Super Friends -esque baddie of the week. This was the kind of character that Filmation should have explored in terms of his full potential to cause chaos among anyone he targets or sees as an ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #098: “Three Villains of Doom”: A “Novel” bit of Bat-Merch

Another great one, guys! My older brothers bought this long before I was In the world, but by the time I came along and read it, I did not think it was necessarily "wrong" despite being a TV-tie-in, anymore than coloring books or Whitman's Bat-books which took clear cues from the TV series. In other...

Interesting collection, Therin. I have the Meidcom GH&K, but I've always thought they were more realistically sculpted than Megos.

Always a very pleasant man and a brilliant musician on and away from Hee Haw. I remember from childhood. One of the good ones who will be missed as he moves on to the next journey.

Re: Wish I Could Afford This

I considered them at the time and decided they didn't look enough like the title animation to justify the expense. Without the logo bases, I'm not sure anyone would make the connection. That's what I thought, and its the reason I passed on it. It is more "possibly inspired by than a representation ...

http://i.imgur.com/mxIxWbB.jpg Whoa!!! :o I had no idea eaglemoss made this, welp, there goes my money! On the Eaglemoss site its still listed as out of stock, but at least it has an option to be notified which means its not out production. If only they would make a 1:18 scale of that car...

Re: Diecast (Hot Wheels, Corgi, Matchbox, etc.) appreciation thread

I picked the Eaglemoss Batmobile from Filmation's 1968 series, The Batman/Superman Hour because its not only one if my favorites, but has the distinction of being the least produced Batmobile from a TV series or film--

Re: What if Batman had worn the Ben Cooper costume

 http://www.66batman.com/forums/download/file.php?id=8348&mode=view The series would have been cancelled after the pilot. He would have looked like some kids' father trying to be funny (like an overgrown kid) in a brightly advertised assemblage of vinyl. There were comic fans who expressed d...
