Re: Wish list for the 1966 Batman show

I would have loved to see this on a 4th season of Batman. Of course I am saying this without thinking about the show's budget. But if I had a magic wand I would have wished for a fourth season and: 1. Have another episode with the Archer, but have another person play the part. He should look like E...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #156: Adam and Burt "Return to the Batcave"

Fun show, guys. I watched this when it originally aired, and I have to admit, the commercials were a bit exciting because it was part of a time when production companies were mining an interest in TV series of the 60's and 70s: 1997: Hey, Hey, It's the Monkees , which was a sequel of sorts to the TV...

Re: NEW 2021 HALLMARK BATMAN ORNAMENTS?!

I would like to see Batman in a new pose too. The Bat-Signal, first version of the Batcycle, Mr. Freeze, Mad Hatter, or Alfred would be welcome as well! Oh. YES! A 1st season Batcycle would be great, but I would like to see it in an accurate 1:18 scale. Its my favorite Batcycle, as its more in line...

Re: Best and Worst Joker Episodes of the Series

Best Joker episodes: 1. The Joker is Wild/Batman is Riled Without question, the best performance by Romero, and the fact that he's sinister--choking Batman during a fight--means that is how the Joker was meant to be portrayed on the series, as opposed to the man-child/idiot he would become less than...

Guys, here's the Waldo Kitty bumpers which were produced for The Groovie Goolies and Friends syndicated series.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #154 Bat-Based Cartoons: "Batfink" and Waldo Kitty's "Catman"

Great show, guys. I'm surprised you did not include Courageous Cat and Minute Mouse (1960) in your review, as it was created by Bob Kane, and some of its visual sequences--like the Cat Mobile roaring out of the Cat Cave--could be said to have influenced the Dozier version of same sequence. The Secre...

That is great. I'm not a big fan of 12" scaled vehicles, but the HT Batman and Robin needed this.

Re: Bat Ear Plugs Prop

Wow! You are a one-man company of '66 props no one ever thought would see production on any scale! Excellent work! On a side note, the earplugs just remind me of how inconsistent the bat designs for the show were in that I'm doubting any one design was ever used for another object, other than Batman...

Chuck's version is such a major cut above the licensed bust. All you need to complete the experience is a sliding bookshelf...that actually leads to the Batcave!

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #152: Defining the Riddler w/Wally Wingert

Okay, everyone knows about the reputation of the The National Enquirer , but to be fair, the tabloid has broken a number of stories before the American national news media (e.g., printing photos of O.J. Simpson wearing the crime scene associated Bruno Magli shoes he said he never owned during his tr...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #152: Defining the Riddler w/Wally Wingert

Oh, about animated Riddler appearances: while the 1968 Filmation Batman was not an adaptation of the '66 series, as you guys observed, Ted Knight's Riddler was an attempt to channel Gorshin, despite the fact the design of the villain was straight from the comics. Interesting mix of influences.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #152: Defining the Riddler w/Wally Wingert

Interesting show, guys. Lots of great stories about Gorshin, and Wally's perceptions about the Riddler character. While I love his take as the Riddler, I am quite fond of Astin's version, as he has the air of a more self-confident villain, because he seemed so worldly and threatening, as opposed to ...
