Re: Diane McBain on Facebook

[attachment=0] Somebody made the amusing comments that Diane should have been in the other Mad Hatter, given the fact that Batman ended up with a pink Cowl. That is pretty cute - and so was she. At first, when I saw the name on the thread, I almost misread it as Diane Keaton instead of McBain...

Re: Pure. Genius. Period.

He certainly was - genius, that is. The other three parts of the Unholy Quadrinity were excellent and there would have been no show without them, but it seems as if Gorshin actually wrote and created the character from scratch. I'm not big on comic books, except for Mad Magazine, but I've seen drawi...

WayneGrayson: Thanks for the friendly comment about my birthday song to Scott. In case you hadn't seen it yet, I had "Thanked" you on the previous board, but since that is now disabled I wanted to make sure that you know I appreciate your comment. Have a great one. You're very welcome, Go...

Re: George Sanders as Mr. Freeze

I thought it added realism to the episode. Batman has always regretted the moves he made which put Freeze into his condition. It was really nice to hear the origin of a villain, much the same as Bruce Wayne hinting at the origins of Batman. Now - if only they could have mentioned Robin's origin. Tha...

Re: Matron Frisk (fan fiction)

"Re-education? Correction?" Catwoman hissed. "With a mind such as mine, it is I who should re-educate them." Batman sneered and snorted and narrowed his eyes. He silently mused that it was too bad Robin chose not to accompany his mentor on this visit. He would have laughed his ma...

Re: Matron Frisk (fan fiction)

Batman approaches and proceeds down Cell Block 3, psyching himself up for his visit with his former nemesis, based on the advice of Matron Frisk. He approaches her cell and finds her lying on her cot, facing the inner wall, the back of her head turned to the bars. In his always firm yet stilted tone...

Re: The Boy Who Loved Batman (book) Long read

Finally, if the series had a more adult tone, if the goofiness were to be toned down somewhat, Batman and Robin's 1966 human qualities would have made it an even better series than it was. I very much agree. If after the nearly flawless first season, the second season had become slightly more groun...

Or maybe they were anticipating Batgirl's arrival.

Re: Did anybody notice...???

I just watched the first Mr Freeze last night and I was rolling during the first bat-fight. The Victor/Burt change-offs were funny enough (as they always are), but I busted a gut when I saw Burt about to kick at the fake Batmans on one angle, then one of the Freeze-boys raised a fist toward Burt's g...

I always thought Eenie's bow came after Leslie Gore's.

Holy timeline, I better brush up on my episode guide.

All right, Sharyn, sing...BUT I WON'T LISTEN!

Re: Did anybody notice...???

I checked the site - nice...some photos look like Barbara Bach, one looks like Jaclyn Smith. A chanteuse. No wonder she seemed uncomfortable in the episode...it's hard for a singer to make the transition into acting. Probably played Eenie for the eggs-posure, but that's another villain. I would have...
