Re: SCRIPT: Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club

Funny, I always associate Barbara Rush with another 1960s camp-fest, ROBIN & THE SEVEN HOODS. She's a scheming "Lady Macbeth" type who plays all sides against each other. Still, despite the scenery chewing of Peter Falk and Victor Buono, how could anyone hope to defeat The Rat Pack? If...

Re: SCRIPT: Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club

While the scripts don't answer the most fundamental question I have with this story, ( Is this a satire on Male reaction to Feminism or a straight forward anti-feminism farce?), I'm forced to suggest that the first draft is a better BATMAN episode than the aired episode. For example: The Lady Wrestl...

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

I've become a poor EGGSample for you all. I'll work EGGStra hard to EGGSclude these puns until I finally receive my wee Eggy action figure.
But on that EGGSeptional day, I'll EGGSadurate these puns until my heart explodes with joy.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?

united2.jpg A wish list for this action figure line: I'd love to see single pack and two pack figure sets. It would be a way to position potential "peg warmers" with a key figure. For instance, a MAD HATTER with a repainted Contaminated Cowl BATMAN (maybe even glow in the dark?) Or a BRUC...

Re: SCRIPT: "THE PHANTOM PHARAOH"

As the script refers to him as an "ex-Jockey", I wonder who they had in mind for the part. Yul Brenner would have been a more imposing figure than the script suggests.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #161: A Joker for All Seasons

Whew. Looks like I set a BAT amongst the pigeons this time! My "Grand Unified Bat-Theory" is a purely mental exercise on my part, largely built on the obvious idea that each season of BATMAN is as much it's own entity as it is part of a whole. Attitudes shift, writers come and go, egos inf...

Re: SCRIPTS: Peter Rabe's "Two-Face" and Semple's "The Joker's Last Laugh"

Oh, and I forgot to mention the total rewrite needed for the cliffhanger. That drill? Nope nope nope. Better a helmet that "makes you a robot" or a headband of something less....well, grotesque. I don't think a current TV series would use that as a child friendly cliffhanger.

Re: SCRIPTS: Peter Rabe's "Two-Face" and Semple's "The Joker's Last Laugh"

Ah, where to start? I thought Peter Rabe's TWO-FACE was about one solid rewrite from being an excellent season two script. The script gives no specific instructions as to the bifurcated bandit's facial appearance, so the show could make him as grotesque or tame as they like. I imagine they would hav...
