Re: BAT 77 - A Victim's Victim (Detective #394)

I listened at work this morning. Just a word of warning....Batman gets hit on the head from behind a pretty good bit in the bronze age! You'd think he would have an armored cowl shell underneath the fabric. :P Robbins is a great plotter and I think he wrote the best Batman mystery/whodunits in the ...

Screen Shot 2019-09-01 at 10.37.10 AM.png This week I talk about race car crashes, horrible Native American stereotypes, and an impossible shot. Also Batman trades in the Batmobile for something less conspicuous. Yeah, Right! TITLE: A Victim's Victim PUBLISHING DATE: December 1969 CREDITS: Frank Ro...

Re: KHJ Promotion

Seriously, which episode would they have been filming when the prize was awarded? On one of the segments, they mention just defeating the Riddler, so I assume they're referring to an episode that just aired. And I'm guessing these segments were aired on a daily basis over a two week period (as ther...

Re: When did you first see the show?

I was born two days before "Minvera, Mayhem and Millionaires" aired on first run ABC shortly it began it's syndication run. I don't have any specific memories of my first viewing. For me it was always part of my television viewing from as far back as I remember. Same with the '68 Filmation cartoons.

Re: BAT 77 - One Bullet Too Many (Batman #217)

As for Batman's coloring, I think that may have been due to the limited printing options of the time. Batman was originally supposed to be black with blue highlights. Spider-Man was originally supposed to be black and red. As you get into the 70s, you'll probably notice the coloring getting less, w...

Re: BAT 77 Episode #17 - Legends of Yesteryear

Obviously, I don't mind parodies, or I wouldn't love the 66 Batman show, but it was funny and creative. See, I never thought of '66 Batman as a parody. It was my first encounter with the character, so I wouldn't have known better, but by most accounts, it was a pretty accurate rendition of what the...

Re: Burt Ward to appear in CW's "Crisis on Infinte Earths"

I do watch Flash and Supergirl and enjoy both, though I grew pretty tired of the "Nora" storyline on last season's Flash. Tried Arrow and Legends but can't be bothered to keep up with those. I am looking forward to Batwoman. Not related to the "Arrow-verse" but I also tried Gotham a few times but th...

BAT 77 Episode #17 - Legends of Yesteryear

Screen Shot 2019-07-20 at 11.40.07 AM.png After a decade of Hollywood typecasting and subsisting on personal appearances in costume, Adam West and Burt Ward were hopeful that NBC would give them a shot at reviving the live-action adventures of Batman and Robin.
