Just fill it with plain lemonade; after paying that price you won't need temper tonic!

Re: When did you first see the show?

I was five years old when it started, and I was utterly mesmerized by it - and pretty much stayed that way ever since :) . We didn't get a color TV until about 1971 or 1972, but I did get to see a couple episodes in color on the neighbors' set. I vaguely remember some of us playing Batman in the bac...

Re: KHJ Promotion

Hmm. Where's Robin? Maybe Dick Grayson had a big exam over at Woodrow Roosevelt that day...

Seriously, which episode would they have been filming when the prize was awarded?

Re: Leslie Gore Interview

Very interesting to hear that Lesley was scheduled for an earlier episode - I'm guessing "The Cat's Meow/The Bat's Kow Tow", which had the music angle. Wonder if there's an earlier draft of the script that would have had Catwoman stealing Chad and Jeremy's voices, then subbing Lesley (as Pussycat) i...

Re: "Fine Finny Fiends"....Changes From Script To Production

Hmm - no automatic fishhooks in there; Penguin just gasses them "at the right moment" - and according to the Part 2 recap, Robin gets it first instead of Batman. As an aside, anyone else have trouble with opening the Dropbox files? All I get here is an oversized image of half the cover. Had to acces...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #116: Victor Buono: Holy Ad-Libbed Comedy!

I spotted another difference between the final draft and the show as it aired: the reason Mayor Linseed was out of town was that he was on "one of his many trips to Vietnam". As filmed, it was changed to "the Asian Front". Just trying to be a bit less specific? At least they didnt't call it Cambones...

Re: SCRIPT: KING TUT'S COUP, a.k.a. TUT TUT TUT

This might have been one of the first films that presents the stereotypical embittered Vietnam War vet who starts killing, which was still a staple into the early 80's. Maybe, although the movie only shows a picture of the character in uniform; whether he went to Vietnam isn't mentioned in the scri...

Re: SCRIPT: KING TUT'S COUP, a.k.a. TUT TUT TUT

A few minor observations on the Lord Chancellor and Jester characters (Lloyd Haynes and Tim O'Kelly): I never could quite figure out if they were suffering the same malady as King Tut throughout the episode, or if they came to their senses and tried to take advantage of the situation (they were cert...

Re: Where is Gotham City

Also there are a couple episodes where the establishing stock footage of Gotham City isn't New York but Boston! There's another episode where the process footage behind the Batmobile is a neon-lit night shot of West Berlin! https://sexyarmpit.com/category/new-guernsey Uh, yeah, I feel creepy about ...

Re: Hohner Harmonica Ad

"Robin" is Johnny Morley from Freeport High School (I assume Freeport, Long Island due to the proximity of the company's NY offices). I looked for him in the '60s Freeport yearbooks on classmates.com but he didn't turn up.
