Has anyone seen this, and did he spoof Batman in it?

Re: Autobiography of Julie Newmar sold

Great news!
Anyone want to suggest a title? The Cat's Meow might be good, if a bit obvious... :D

I'll be getting one too, but I'll modify it to add a little realism...

Re: SCRIPT: "The Clock King's Crazy Crimes"

Well said, Jim! Also note that, like with Robin and Leo in "Better Luck Next Time", in the final edit the clonks over the head get replaced by sleeping gas.

U of MI Batman & Robin, 2-26-66

While looking up the Mrs. Batman story, I found something else interesting. Wonder who at the University of Michigan had the pull to get actual Batsuits from Fox Television, and what happened to them afterward? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53363840358_16873e9f0c_b.jpg https://live.staticflick...

I'm surprised she didn't give the kids her ex-husband's phone number!
Found some articles from April '66 - will post when I get home.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #210: The Sandman Cometh Alone (part 2)

You were asking about the operation of the stethoscope in dispensing Sandman's sleep powder; it's actually pretty simple. The stethoscope that they used was a Medics Instrument Corporation dual type with a lever-operated valve that switches the function from bell to diaphragm. The black plastic bell...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #209: The Sandman Cometh Alone (part 1)

Holy halftime! Been looking forward to the show and now (like Robin) we get a double dose from Sandman! You were asking at the end about the date of the Harold Hornsby column with the Buck Henry interview; earliest reference I could find in Newspapers.com was January 22, 1966 - it was in the Buffalo...

Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft

One other clever tidbit from the script: Alfred referring to Shakespeare (i.e. the bust) to get the Duo into the study. I don't think that was used in any other episodes; correct? If it wasn't it should have been.

Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft

Point taken. Six of one, half a dozen of the other; the way Sleeping Beauty's character is written it's hard to tell if she's in on the scheme or just another sleepwalker. If she was in on the plot, then it's just a father-daughter con game. It is worth mentioning that Sandman would have better acce...

Lou Szabo wrote: Wed Nov 01, 2023 6:52 am Holy highbrow Batman! The translation is literally The Flying Mouse, because Germans love compound words.
And "Fledermaus" is what Von Bloheim calls Batman in the party scene from "Death in Slow Motion"!

Re: Are there any color photos of the Batmobile before they applied glossy finish?

I checked through the Greg Jein auction; although there are lots of B&W images of the flat black Batmobile there were no color ones.

Bat-rss, I just thought of something - did I give you a copy of the May 25 (oops) June 13, 1966 final St. Ellis draft? If not, PM me your email and and I'll send it.

Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft

A few more random thoughts: I never got the reference to "Sleeping Pawn" in the end crawl of the first episode - until I read this script and in scene 45 it mentioned "Sleeping Faun"; Googled that and found it referred to a statue of a sleeping youth carved in 1870 by American sc...
