Re: SCRIPT: "The Clock King's Crazy Crimes"

I'm excited for this one, but it looks like there's an access issue on the script files. Maybe permissions need to be changed to make them downloadable by anyone?

RIP Charles “Dustbag” Dierkop

Charles Dierkop, whose many appearances on TV and movies in the 60s and 70s included a turn as henchman Dustbag in “Penguin’s Clean Sweep” and a regular supporting role on “Police Woman,” has died. He was 87.

Re: Hot Wheels First Batmobile

Besides the figures, it looks like the reissue is also missing the hood ornament included with the SDCC special. I wonder if the reissue has the "KANE 41" license plate. I'm not a collector, but I can't help wondering if there'd be any point in 3D printing figures to fit in the reissue mod...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #213: “Mr. Terrific”: A tough pill to swallow? Pt 1

Where did you find the TV episodes to watch? I've hesitated to listen to this podcast episode and the previous one about Captain Nice because I'm unfamiliar with the shows and I can't find anything more than snippets online. (Extended excerpts from the Mr. Terrific pilot are the most as I've been ab...

Re: Batman 1966 Classic TV Series 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by Aquarius

I have that puzzle here at the house. A few years back I had ambition to assemble it and post my progress here as it came together. Unfortunately, our cat wouldn't leave it alone, even when we covered the table between sessions. Eventually I just put it back in the box, and I'm afraid a few pieces m...

Merry Little Batman

The new DC/Warner Animation movie on Prime Video focuses on Batman's son, Damian Wayne, combatting crime in Gotham while Bruce is busy elsewhere. It's played for laughs but touches on Bat-mythology (including the '66 series and the Burton/Schumacher films) in a way that reminds me of the Lego movies...

That's awesome! Really impressive detail. I'd love to see your Batcave.

I love the Arnold's helipad! Is there a dock out back for the water-ski boat? ;)

Re: U of MI Batman & Robin, 2-26-66

Great find! I'd love to know how they got those costumes as well.

If this is the same Daniel Syme who wore the cape—and the timeline seems to add up—he became another kind of do-gooder after college.

Re: What were the Hallmark Bat releases this year?

Hallmark also issued a limited-edition blown-glass 1966 Batmobile ornament this year. It seemes pricey to me at $120, but it looks pretty cool if that's your thing.

Re: Bat-Director Robert Butler has died

Thanks, Scott and Ben, for elaborating on Mr. Butler's great role in establishing the Batman 1966 vision -- and his amazing contributions to many other great TV series of the 1960s and 70s. I posted the obit link from my phone and kept it perfunctory because I hate typing with my thumbs. You both sa...

Re: Early Mexican Batwoman predating Batman?

More likely Spain than Mexico because Barcelona had a very healthy opera circuit and Opera itself didn't get popular in North American until the mid 20th Century-- but I could be wrong and maybe Mexico had a burgeoning playhouse. I think the Spanish-language association could be be spurious, a resu...

Re: Early Mexican Batwoman predating Batman?

Reddit's r/opera Subreddit identifies it as a costume from a 1903 production of Strauss's "Die Fledermaus." Comments on the post seem kind of skeptical about which character in the opera would wear that getup, so take it with a grain of salt. I'm not familar with Die Fledermaus, or with a...

The Collector's Call episode is on YouTube.

Not the greatest resolution, but here's a capture of the needlepoint piece you mentioned.
