Re: Best and Worst of the Newbies
My impression of both actors comes from other roles. Van Johnson was a key character in The Caine Mutiny (great movie by the way) and of course Art Carney from the Honeymooners. Mr. Carney was just a goofball in his signature role and in Batman he plays against that type, and it doesn't work well. H...

Re: Catwoman in Episode 119
I always assumed it was because they had a stunt double for Julie, but probably didn't have one for Eartha.

Hey Ben, if you plan on making it out there let me know when you will be there. I'm about 3.5 hours away and could drive over.Ben Bentley wrote: ↑Thu Sep 04, 2025 12:45 am Awesome! The smile on your face says it all! Can't wait to see it for myself before the end of the year hopefully.

Re: My Cataract Surgery Experience
My optometrist was the one who told me that new glasses would no longer improve my vision. I needed the cataracts removed. It is actually a fairly simple procedure.

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

I'm reading a book by Cary Elwes about the making of the movie The Princess Bride
I recently started As You Wish by Cary Elwes. He writes about the Making of the Princess Bride and incudes a lot of anecdotes by other major players in the movie including many of the actors, the producer/director (Rob Reiner), the other producers and the author. One funny anecdote I will mention is...

Re: My Cataract Surgery Experience
Since people found my first thread on my cataract surgery useful, I wrote down some more information that people might appreciate. Pain Medication They will likely recommend Tylenol for pain/discomfort. They said it was very common to have discomfort in your surgery eye for a few days after the proc...

My Cataract Surgery Experience
I am 2- and 4-weeks post-operative for cataract surgery. They did my left eye first and then two weeks later they did my right (dominant) eye. I paid $8,000 for the prescription lenses and am very happy I did. No more glasses for seeing things at a distance. However, I lost my nearsightedness and ne...

Re: Has anyone used ChatGPT to create images of themselves as Batman, Robin, etc.?
You bring up some great points Ben. You can ask the AI to make a video of Julie as Catwoman, even using a still from the show, but the AI gets a lot of things wrong. Subtle things that you don't really think about until you see how wrong the AI actually gets it wrong. For instance, the AI has no ide...

Re: Has anyone used ChatGPT to create images of themselves as Batman, Robin, etc.?
As I stated earlier, I dropped my $10 a month Hailuo account last month. My free daily credits (enough for three videos) disappeared shortly after that with no explanation, so no more Hailuo account for me. HOWEVER, I did find a way to create up to three videos a day using Hailuo without an account....

Re: Has anyone used ChatGPT to create images of themselves as Batman, Robin, etc.?
Several tips for creating short videos from images: 1) Use uncluttered images if possible: The AI will "look" at the image and try to interpret what is there. Here is a real example. I used a still of Leslie Gore as Pussycat from "That Darn Catwoman". I erased Aunt Harriet from b...
