Re: Trouble Assembling a Mego Star Trek the Motion Picture Bridge Playset!

I just bought some double sided cellophane tape. I think it was Scotch brand tape. It was only $3. You might want to do a quick internet search to see if the item has any value. Look on eBay. If it has value consider selling it. Personally, I would assemble it unless it has a ridiculous resale value.

Re: Favorite Catwoman Actress?

Julie is my favorite, but Lee and Eartha both did a great job. I used to have Lee at number two, but watching the series on DVD I now put Eartha in the number two spot on my list. Julie just had fun with the role and it really shows. She could be nasty one second and then seductive the next; just li...

Re: FOUND wrath of khan sneak previews

Madlyn Rhue, Khan's love interest in the Space Seed episode, was diagnosed with MS in 1977. I believe this is why she did not appear in the movie. She did continue to act though. IMDB notes that towards end of her career she supposedly almost lost her health insurance through the screen actors guild...

Memorial Day salute to Batman cast members who were veterans

Burgess Meredith was in the Army Air Corps during WWII. It appears he made training and education films for America's armed forces.

Any others?

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

For those people that enjoy Hogan's Heroes I recommend a book by a German officer named Hans von Luck. The book is titled Panzer Commander. He recounts many things that seem like they were part of a Hogan's Heroes script. I will give you two examples. The first one is where he tells of how he was in...

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

I think Batman holds up a lot better than most of those shows. Yes, I am biased, but I really think it does.

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #109: Louie the Lilac baffles, Bat-conference informs

This was just an awful episode for me. Milton Berle is boring as a villain. You would think it should work, but it clearly didn't. Upgrading Lotus to be the villain would have been a good move. Give her a decent motive and this would have been a good season 3 episode. That ain't saying much, but way...

Re: Where is Gotham City

The Batmobile license plate reads:
2F-3567
Gotham 1966

License plates are issued by states, not cities. This implies that Gotham City is in the state of Gotham.

Re: Where is Gotham City

Well, it can't be 3:40 in Chicago and 5:40 in Los Angeles! Clearly, someone just slapped city names under a bunch of clocks and had no idea where these cities were.

Re: Courtroom scenes and other bat-law questions

I should add another question would be the legalities of Batman and Robin, as duly deputized reps of the GCPD, planting listening devices in Siren's newly-acquired building, in Minstrel moll Octavia's purse, etc. Listening devices were almost the stuff of science fiction at this point in time. Batm...

Re: Courtroom scenes and other bat-law questions

In The Penguin Goes Straight deathtrap, Gordon and O'Hara fire what they believe to be pop guns at a carnival target, not knowing Batman and Robin were hanging behind the curtain. After they escaped, Batman wouldn't go after Penguin since it was the commissioner and police chief who fired the shots...
