Re: I think Dozier rolled the dice with Gorshin

I'd say Gorshin was already a name in 1965...he had signed for his 11th Ed Sullivan appearance. One of his Ed Sullivan appearances delivered a huge audience. Of course, that Feb. 9, 1964 appearance also had some up-and-coming group from Liverpool on it...   Chad and Jeremy???

Re: It is interesting to note how many actors are best known for their Batman characters

Again, I refer back to IMDB and what THEY list as the most notable roles. They list Catwoman as one of Lee's most memorable roles. They also list her Star Trek, Time Tunnel and Land of the Giants appearances under a generic fantasy/sci-fi arc that they say she is most remembered for. Oddly, there is...

Re: It is interesting to note how many actors are best known for their Batman characters

I was going by what IMDB said in the bio. I realize these can be very biased depending on who wrote them. And for Cesar it did say for younger people he was better known as the Joker than for anything else. Obviously, other people knew him for other roles, but the Joker was still his most memorable ...

Re: I think Dozier rolled the dice with Gorshin

Better to cover as many bases as you can with the pilot. The Batman character is a draw for the kids, Jill St John is a good draw for the guys (I don't know if they made a big deal out of who would be in the episode), and Frank Gorshin is a good draw for those people familiar with his other work. A ...

It is interesting to note how many actors are best known for their Batman characters

The thread titled "I think Dozier rolled the dice with Gorshin" got me thinking about how prominent Batman was in the careers of the people who appeared on the show. I only looked at main characters and the big four villains. In the biographies on IMDB the following actors are noted as having their ...

Is this for sure the hero helmet , remember the fake mr Freeze's in the bank ?
It states in the description that the wearer is unknown. It may have been worn by Mr. Freeze or one of the six impersonators.

Re: SCRIPT: THE FUNNY FELINE FELONIES

A couple early thoughts on the treatment. 1-Odd that Joker is *really* kidnapped. That frankly is way too complicated. We had enough "Penguin goes straight" episodes but it's really not credible to think of a "Joker goes straight" episode (if he were he'd be taking off his makeup!)... Given that Co...

Just a few things about the movie

Did you think that Batman was uncharacteristically rude during the press conference concerning the missing yacht? Cute thing #1: Vice Admiral Fangschliester’s whistling the Navy song while looking through his Rolodex. And pretty much everything he says during that scene. “Avast and belay!” Cute thin...
