Re: A gem from season 3
The doctor was played by retired baseball player John Beradino and good friend of producer Dozier.

Re: Scary Villians
I don't think any of the Bat-Villains ever scared me. It was a case of seeing what familiar face was playing the part. Being only 10 years old when the show first came on the air, the only actors I recognized was John Astin from The Addams Family and Art Carney from The Honeymooners. That being said...

Re: Musings on John Astin and Batman's Anniversary
I have long admired Astin's portrayal of the Riddler. His version is much more of a fiend and without Gorshin's manic traits. Astin's Riddler is single minded and totally evil. I feel that Astin was wise to play Riddler in his own style rather than trying to copy the more twisted (and somewhat less ...

Re: Olga: An Appreciation
Olga could have been a terrific villainess if the producers weren't so obsessed with camping up the 3rd season shows, knowing that the show was on life support at the time. I to feel Egghead was made to look more like a fool than the evil genius he originally was.

Re: Any Molls Strong Enough To Be On Their Own?
I think Anna Gramm from the Astin Riddler two parter could have been a great villainess. She was cunning, cold and serious and had no qualms about helping Riddler attempt to drown B&R in quicksand. She was also a fighter right to the very end who had to be literally dragged away kicking and scre...

Re: Anyone here old enough to remember the original run?
Yes, I clearly remember watching Hi Diddle Riddle on that January night in 1966. I was 10 years old and my father worked in advertising and his company had ads running on the program and we all watched it. My father' s reaction to the show wasn't that good, but he was smart enough to know that it wo...

Re: Batman 3rd season - Dr Cassandra - released villians
If you take a close look, some of the doubles are pretty poor matches to the real actors. Especially the faux Penguin's obvious fake nose. The show had to work with a reduced budget, they couldn't even afford to get at least one of the original actors to come back to play their respective villain ro...

Re: Burt Ward in The Graduate?
A bit of trivia, although Burt Ward did not get the part of Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate, Dustin Hoffman almost missed out on playing the part too. Hoffman had signed on to play Franz Liepkin in The Producers. Just before filming of The Producers was to start, Hoffman begged Mel Brooks to be re...

Re: Costume Malfunction "Batman Stands Pat"
It's really hard to tell by the posted picture if the zipper is indeed broken, or lowered. Wearing tights and a leotard made of 100% Nylon and covered by a black cape certainly does not lend itself to be either cool or comfortable. Batman's real villain was the costume department.

Re: Costume Malfunction "Batman Stands Pat"
Adam may have left the zipper down on purpose to let his body breathe. Ballet dancers for decades wore total covering leotards made of 100% Nylon that made them sweat quite a lot. It wasn't until the 1980's that dancers began wearing leotards with open backs to allow for better sweat disapation. May...

Re: John Astin May Have Noot Been Good As The Riddler, But .
Astin had two thing Gorshin never had, the question mark cane and the question mark wetsuit. Even Astin's shoes were different. Gorshin's Riddler wore green ballet slippers and Astin wore green loafers. One other slight difference was the eye mask Astin wore was more like a pair of glasses.
