Re: Van Williams had a backdoor pilot for a Western show

I think i've shared the link to this thesis before, but for those interested in the merchandising aspect of The Green Hornet (and Lone Ranger), Avi Santo's dissertation is a lengthy but really fascinating read: https://www.academia.edu/2597982/Transmedia_Brand_Licensing_Prior_to_Conglomeration_Georg...

It can truly be said, Batman has finally met his Waterloo, no thanks to King Tut.
Hahaha, i’m almost annoyed I didn’t come up with that!

Prop Store London Auction: Emblem and screen used Batarang

I had chance yesterday to check out in person a couple of original '66 TV items that are currently listed in the Prop Store London's "Live Auction". The emblem was obtained from Jan Kemp's estate. The Batarang is a metal "hero" prop. 5569115B-9B6A-4B07-9162-526E0ED9212D.jpg 59D8C6D1-1B0A-4235-8B85-A...

Re: Van Williams had a backdoor pilot for a Western show

Very interesting stuff. That's an incredibly clever and ingeniously thrifty way of producing a pilot by way of a show that has already been ordered to season. Do(ugh)zier himself would be proud of that move, no? :D I would have loved to have seen Van have the career he truly deserved on screen. I've...

That's a gorgeous likeness and a very cool concept.

I do remember seeing it at some point, but it wasn't necessarily here on our board.

... only Burt and Sid were still with us from the notable cast. Marianna Hill is still with us, too. Two years ago, she spoke with Me-TV about her appearances on various '60s shows, including "Batman." Marianna Hill chats with Me-TV That's awesome! Thanks for the insight. I was honestly under the i...

Re: RIP, Sid Haig.

I literally just watched "The Spell of Tut" on Saturday and for a moment it crossed my mind that only Burt and Sid were still with us from the notable cast.

He will be missed!

Re: Ebay 1966 BATMAN ORIGINAL TV BATCAVE BLUEPRINTS 18"x24" COLOR PRINT

Are these perhaps blueprints for the modifications they made to the Batcave for the movie? This may make me seem like a newbie, but what was changed about the batcave for the movie? Thanks! :D The bigger budget allocated for the motion picture allowed Dozier and team to make some nice upgrades to t...

Well done. Fabulous backdrops Ian.
Thanks. It's the lounge room set from the Mego "Bewitched" two-pack (8" Endora and Serena), and the back panel of Mattel's unmasked Batman.
They work very nicely together indeed! Great setup.
