Re: Model Kit Help Needed

So I had to run into Walmart and checked their paint cards and Walmart/Glidden's Colorplace paint called "Grayed Rose Quartz" looked like a winner! So take a look at that if you're curious and you don't have those two BatBooks handy. It's a pretty good match to the tight color without cust...

Re: Model Kit Help Needed

What I used on the busts to get as close as I could to the look and color of the satin was a fairly even mix of Jacquard's "Lumiere" metallic "Indigo" and Jacquard's "Neopaque" in "Navy". You have to use Dull Cote over it or it's too shiny and you just see whi...

Re: EEE-YOW! Help finding leotard/tights!

Hey Rick, I totally get the budget issues as well as the frustration of tight shopping!!!! Since you can sew, I will suggest you get the fabric from us, cut your old tights apart for the pattern (or purchase paper patterns) and make your own. Rule of thumb is that it takes 3 yards for your leotard a...

Re: For those who have cowls (or those who don't)

In the comics I thought the cowl was supposed to be some sort of helmet/ protection. I saw a comic panel from the 70's I think where Batman snapped his ear off to retrieve something stored there! Depending on the fit of the cowl I think it would be some protection. FYI, I have stood on cowl shells I...

Re: Batgirl cowl question

Here are a couple of clear shots of the #1 cowl from the back.

Biggest difference between this and the Azarian is that the straps flow smoothly from the center section without a break.

Re: Williams studio featured on 13th dimension

Thanks so much everyone!!! mwilbury, I LOVE the photoshop you did!! I enjoy making these. It's a cross between cowlmaking and beltmaking . I'm a bit surprised they didn't do something like this for the show. A softer version would have worked with the satin fabric and given a consistent layout for t...
