It’s a “Flashbulb Batarang” from Detective Comics 244. The story was reprinted in Batman 203. The other one look just like the Ideal Toys batarang….

My assumption was that these were part of the “Batman is coming” teaser campaign and posted in targeted cities. It might have been a cheaper choice to modify an already commercially available poster than to design a new one. There were a ton of goofy, trendy “Pop Art” comics posters at the time, inc...
