William Dozier as Desmond Doomsday
Hello again, I've learnt so much about the batman tv series from you people so I've always had a soft spot for this and the previous forum. With that said, I'd like to ask you about William Dozier narrating the show as Desmond Doomsday. In an earlier thread, Scott Sebring mentioned that Dozier confi...

Re: Batman at the Boxoffice
Off the top of my head, all I can think of is the Viewmaster set, the novelization of the movie, and (for Adam West) the 2nd paperback, Batman Vs 3 Villains of Doom. The LP with their voices and the photo cover. There were also trading cards that used scenes from Batman: The Movie. http://www.dfand...

Re: Remembering David Wayne
He did a comedy series called "Housecalls" in the 80's that I really liked. I was stunned to find out he disliked doing Batman! He was wonderful as the Mad Hatter, and the character has continued in the comics partially due to him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xydFnSTntc I'm not sure ...

Re: Cracked Website's Take on 66 Batman
Interesting, particularly how perception of the show has changed; it's gone from being something to be distanced from, to something celebrated. This is very much in contrast to the piece that cracked.com did on the series a few years ago. Because in the piece that i mention cracked.com didn't reall...

Re: 1966 Animated Intro Question!
One of the regulars on the board some years ago, a guy called GDog, knew all about the musicians and vocalists who performed the opening theme (I think he had studio call sheets), and he or another old-timer also had some background on the animation. I'm not sure there was any specific artist ident...

Re: show ?
I think that, like most of the villains featured on the opening credits, the guy with the snake mask is just a generic bad guy. Kobra first appeared in 1975 and Copperhead didn't appear until 1968, so they both made debuts after the series started. Actually the King Cobra character that's shown in ...
Re: show ?
Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Clayface, and King Cobra. The rest of the villains in the intro are just random criminals. Is not King Cobra actually a Marvel bad guy? So he would not be a Bat-foe. There was a DC character called Kobra who Jack Kirby was planning on calling King Cobra but he was mid-70's...
Re: show ?
Hey guy I have been a fan of the show since I have been a kid. And always wondered a couple of things and I think this is the best place to get answers. At the beginning the cartoon beginning who are all the bad guys there? Are they suppose to have been characters for the show? Joker, Penguin, Catw...

Batman and Robin vs Pirates
Can anybody give me any information about this question that my friend has asked me about?. Because i had never heard about this until my friend mentioned it to me. Did adam west and burt ward (or anyone else) portray batman and robin on an awards show (the emmys maybe) in the late 1970s, in a short...
