Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft
---After some time, I figure unless Ellis St. Joseph and whomever connected to Batman were some disgusting perverts, Sleeping Beauty was never intended to be perceived as Sandman's daughter and the line was meant to be funny. ---And speaking of funny, for the first time I caught a bit of subtle Mich...

chrisbcritter wrote "No other way to say it - Sandman's pimping out his own daughter after perhaps turning her into a sleepwalker. Nasty stuff (and one of the reasons for the rewrite?)." I could be wrong I think more likely this is a play on words on the concept of a father walking his bri...

Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft
Jim, I really appreciate both your breakdown of the draft and how well written your assesment is...! Good points about Batman on the subway and when he gets more intense when Robin's in danger. Sure, I think the Alf-Cycle is hilarious and I enjoy when he gets a larger role in an episod and the way A...

Re: SCRIPT: "The Sandman Cometh", first draft
Some more thoughts: While I don't care for the police force turning against the Dynamic Duo plot the writing in this sequence is again well done and O'Hara's line about his "own foot" crack me up. With the sleepwalker threat and the entire wide open nature of dreams, Sandman could've been ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #199: "Nora Clavicle" scripts and writing in season three
A question: Are there other Catwoman scripts not written by SRR that you're aware of and are holding out for future episodes or did he pretty much hold the monopoly on the character aside from the Sandman eps? cheers Sorry for the late response! It's fine, I appreciate the sentiment but no apology ...

Re: TREATMENT by Yale Udoff: "Rembrandt the Third Meets His Master"
I may have more to say on this later. first, thanks for sharing another treatment. I was excited to take a look though the title isn't that catchy. To be fair maybe it was just a placeholder title. Hmm...what's good here? The concept. A villain who uses painting as a motif opens up some possibilitie...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
This is a very good point. I think, to a degree, they tried doing different things with the formula in the 2nd season. Ma Parker---Criminals wanting to be arrested, villaiin's hide-out in jail, the speed based bomb death-trap. Chandell---Giving Aunt Harriet a larger role. Darn Catwoman---Robin being...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #199: "Nora Clavicle" scripts and writing in season three
Could be also that having a way for them to contact each other would lead to the next step which would be sharing their identities and they weren't sure if they wanted to do it yet. Maybe they figured they hadn't spent enough time having Batman and Robin end every adventure by noting Batgirl's disap...

Re: SCRIPT: Nora Clavicle and the Ladies' Crime Club
I think it would've been too much, Forget the logistics regarding the stuntman or Adam, it would've been another pointless denigration of the character.Ken Holtzhouser wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 9:16 am (although I'm not crazy about the idea of them body slamming Batman.

Re: High C Has Passed Away
Rest in peace J.P. Pelzman, "High C". Like everyone else I was shocked to read this. He was such a part of this board weighing in with thoughtful comments. Years back he shared the Siren scripts with me; besides some messages on here and discussing/debating with him I didn't know him but m...

Re: SCRIPT: "Hizzoner the Penguin"
You know....some people really like this arc, and think its a "great" send-up of then-modern politics, but the problem with Sherman's script is that its far too cynical to the point where it comes off as Sherman being ignorant. I gotta say I think this script and the finished episodes app...

I hope there are more good things for listeners to find in the podcast than what you mention, that a) we seem to be having a good time and b) we’re recording it at all. But I will take your constructive comments seriously and try to improve. Sincerely, Paul Hi there fellas, I really enjoy the podca...
