Re: batcave layout (my version) requested
Hey, that looks great...and quite frankly, anyone who takes the time to lay this out, and make it look so professional, deserves gratitude and praise. Thank you, and great job!!

Re: 1/64 Black Beauty Johnny Lightning out soon
Thank you for the info, but I just don't care for repaints like this, including the 66 Batmobile...it's like a random street gang got hold of it while the owners were fighting crime. I am glad there are consumers who will buy these, but...big pass.

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs
Just recently rewatched "Death In Slow Motion" and noticed at the opening, during the Riddlers' performance, Mr. Van Jones, for all his apparent anger, is smiling and laughing along with the lobby crowd at some point. Once you notice it, it's a bit jarring to see him get so angry. Of cours...

Re: 66 Batman Series Streaming on Filmrise
I just checked this...the episodes are there, just out of order. After episode 60 of season 2, it goes back to the earlier ones up to and including That Darn Catwoman. Weird that they are out of order though.

Re: New Batman Movie
Sprangfan, thank you for putting into words something I have felt for many years. When Batman '89 came out, I was discussing the rubber suit issue with a fellow fan who pointed out Batman wouldn't survive in a cloth uniform. I replied that anyone can wear bulletproof items underneath their clothing....

It's very possible that some were bought up by vendors who will now inflate the price to scalp collectors...happens all the time.

Re: Any idea on this?
Back in 1973 NPP stood for National Periodical Publications. Maybe the vendor/manufacturer wanted to make sure of the copyright?

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #85: "Batman '89" Turns our Heads
Batinthesun productions released a really interesting short many years ago called "Patient J". It's notable for the appearance of the Detective Comics #27 bat-uniform, in the segments about the Red Hood becoming The Joker. They are quick shots, but prove that you can have a '39-era Batman ...

A Change In Perspective: King Tut episodes
I think it's funny how years can really change perspective. When I was a teenager watching "Batman" reruns after school, I would cringe whenever a King Tut episode would air, and usually tune out to do other activities, thinking "He's not a villain from the comics". I also felt t...

Re: Julie Newmar Guest Starring on "The Monkees."
IMDB.com is our friend! In this case, the air date was April 3rd, 1967 (I was two years old), so the answer seems to be...."during". Her character's name was April Conquest (!). As far as when it was filmed in relation to her "Batman" appearances, this link (http://monkeestv2.tri...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES podcast #74: "Batman vs. Two-Face"
Ouch. I believe I fall somewhere in the middle of all of these opinions, I am really conflicted. On the one hand, GLAD these are out there for us fans. On the other hand, wishing they were closer in tone and spirit to the first season. I think there is a little truth in all of these viewpoints, not ...

Re: The Adam West Batman Series We Missed Out On
Kind of nice to see this substantiated. Too often, the attitude of "if I've never heard it, it never happened" by the self-appointed experts will stop a subject like this cold in its tracks. Good job "Boss".

Re: 60's vs. 90's films
The need to flesh out the psychology/motivations of villains seems to be epidemic in the movies and the comics as well. It is a reflection on the feelings of studios/writers/producers/actors that the viewer needs all the background details and is not intelligent enough to follow the story without ev...
