Autopsy: The Last Hours of Adam West on Reelz

Did anyone catch this program last night or did it escape everyone's notice? I found it by accident and only saw the last few minutes. Most of the programming on this channel seems to portray Hollywood's sordid side, so I usually avoid these shows. Evidently, there were comments from Jeff Rovin and ...

Re: 1960s Animated Batman videogame for Mac computers?

I remember these from back in the day. They were as close as we got at the time to having the Filmation cartoons on our Macs. The animated sequences played in small QuickTime video windows embedded in virtual comic book panels, and the mashup story, pieced together from multiple Filmation episodes,...

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

It definitely is a Nick Cardy illo, taken from 100- Page Super Spectacular, DC-14. https://comicvine1.cbsistatic.com/uploads/scale_medium/10/101844/1858545-comics.jpg Carmine Infantino designed many of the cover layouts during his tenure as publisher, so he may have actually had an uncredited hand i...

Re: Holy Batmania! question

Holy time warp! Has it really been 20 years since we all rushed out to get Holy Batmania?
Your question sent me to dig out my DVDs and check. I don't see any differences either, so it's probably an error.

Actually, that's thicker than the paper used on comics circa 1976!

Re: Disney/Marvel to buy DC

I don't want to add fuel to the speculation fire, but here are some true anecdotes of the past: DC's comic sales were moribund in the late 70s and according to Dick Giordano, a Warner executive asked, "Do we have to publish Superman comics to license the character?' While she was being interviewed f...

Re: New Batman Cover statue Sideshow

Evidently, this is one in a series of Enesco figures. Others seem to be inspired by the 80s Garcia Lopez style guides.

Re: New Batman Cover statue Sideshow

Either cover would have made a great statue. In fact, the color of Batman's costume contrasted to the dark red background on C-25 actually made a 3D effect if you stared at it long enough. For a 3D statue, they really missed the boat by avoiding the use of dark purple in the background. For many of ...

Re: TO THE BATPOLES #127: It’s a “Challenge” Just to Sit Through “Legends”

Weren't these specials produced during Fred Silverman's tenure at NBC? It seems he tried reviving any property that he could get his hands on to get the network out of the ratings basement: Gilligan's Island, the Munsters, the Brady Bunch (Brides), even the Flintstones, so why not Batman? I watched ...

Re: Ralph Garman's Batman Collection on MeTV

Looking forward to seeing this. Me-TV is on a lot in my home. I've been following the series even if I have no particular interest in the collectibles being shown on a particular episode. There's always something to learn. I hope Ralph will check in here with any insights that he can offer.

Re: Hamilton Collection Batman sculpture

It looks like they've added a pair of Batmobiles, traditional and a cute Precious moments version. I like the backdrop for the traditional one, but, again, I would wait to see actual photos before ordering and being disappointed with the quality.

Re: The forgotten 1994 Batsuit from DC's "Troika"

I lost all interest in mainstream (read "in continuity") Batman comics by this time. Stylized artwork has its place, but how could Batman even hold his head up with the ears on that cowl? For my money, the best Batman comics of the 90s were the adaptations of the animated series. They were mostly "d...

Decades has a Green Hornet Marathon on November 24

Here's the schedule. Only 22 of the 26 episodes will be shown. Unfortunately, "The Preying Mantis" is not one of them. 8:00PM ETTHE GREEN HORNET - THE SILENT GUN "In this premiere episode, Dave Bannister is shot at a funeral with 20 witnesses present and not a shot was heard, not even from the Green...
