Re: 1/6 Joker, 1966 , 4 options By Mars Toys

Well I was playing up the outrage a bit fellas-- jokes seldom work in a forum. The Joker was such a perfect job I would imagine they nail this one too. Have The Penguin and or Riddler been released? I didn't order either of those but in hand I'd be curious to see if they have different bodies than T...

Re: Vintage 66 Batman Slide Puzzles?

I was going to guess South America-- BATMAN was big down there when the show re-ran in the 70s.

C'mon guys the hair is completely the wrong color! Yeah I know it's an easy fix but why am I fixing something on an expensive figure? I hope they amp up the color here!

Wasn't Mad Hatter's hair and mustache a lot more neon-ish? Am I mis-remembering?
But MH is a favorite of mine, if they do a King Tut I'd have to grab him.

Re: Green Hornet golf balls: any connection to the character?

Well, a green is a pretty common term in Golf--it's the area surrounding the hole which you aim for-- and a Hornet is a super fast ball-- so it actually does make a lot of sense when you think about it.

Re: Green Hornet golf balls: any connection to the character?

I'd say the Green Hornet had his fair share of memorabilia-- the show was extremely popular, and except for Superman, Captain Midnight, Little Orphan Annie and The Shadow I'd say he had some of the coolest items including a secret compartment ring-- a photo postcard of Brit Reid "autographed&qu...

Re: Green Hornet golf balls: any connection to the character?

I've come across these over the years at various golf outings. I don't think there is any connection to what would have in the 50s be a former radio show hero.

I can't help you with the number-- I have one myself and its great.
I know several boards who are looking for one, so when you do list it somewhere be sure and mention it here.

MAKIMONO COMICS - A New Comic Company

RETAIL POSTCARD-1A.jpg Hey Folks- So I've been doing this now for about a year, and we're launching print books. We've got a line of comics that are (we hope) fun and sometimes funny-- if you found, for example, some of the things happening in the modern Batman comics a little ridiculous, you might...

Re: Bradford Exchange light-up clock

We've discussed BE at length-- they are all over the place with quality control-- so it's always best to wait and see what the production copy looks like before ordering. The image shown so far is a computer mockup. I like it-- it's a fun idea-- would have been neat if it was a KooKoo clock and a Pe...

Re: Oscars tribute to West

Apparently it was all Keaton's idea to do the ascot- if you look closely you can see that he's still wearing the tuxedo he had on earlier in the night he just switched out for the bit. As someone who is often called on to wear a tux for events I can tell you that ascot is a million times more comfor...

Re: McFarlane 7” 1939 Batman

The blue highlights don't make sense to me-- the inside blue cape is a winner-- video points out the gloves look unfinished-- there should be some kind of cuff. I don't like the head sculpt either, but then I'm a toy fan-- I can't ever be happy with anything right?
