So I got curious and took a piece of red WW fabric and stuck it inside a shell I had here and put them both on top of a photoflood lamp...
Can't wait to see what the translucent red resin pigment will look like but this shows show accurate fiberglass strands!

Re: bat-gauge prop help

You're welcome - and yes, that knob is catching light from the ring above. It's probably a black knob and in case it's not clear enough, the body of the gauge is navy blue.

Re: bat-gauge prop help

I fiddled with the contrast a bit and cropped it to that area and it does looks curved like a flat disc knob.

I also think that the yellow tubing may have been a necessity to run lines to power those lights and that he may have had a battery system on his belt out of sight.

Re: bat-gauge prop help

I don't know for sure but it looks like it might be a rotary switch knob. As an aside, my first reaction to the photos above is that it looks like it was made from/like a utility belt box.

It looks to be made of a slice of utility belt leather.

Re: Actual color of Gordon's Batphone

To this day, I am 99% sure that the phone handle was stock and the body of the phone was vacuumformed in red plastic. That would explain how the bulbs show through so well.. now to look for sheets of plastic that size that will fit my vacuumformer.... You may also be interested in this thread: http...

Re: Things you didn't notice or remember until seeing the DVDs

If you cue up E1 to +7:00 and play until the scene transitions at +7:09, there's a big drop in color brilliance that lasts for the remainder of the scene as they depart the Cmsr's office. This is on the WB D1 fix DVD. Makes me think that the scene was edited in from a lesser source. Curious if anyon...

Re: 66 Batman "germ" masks

Does the mask have a pocket so you can slide a filter into it and how thick/thin is the cloth?

Re: Wayne manor Hot line phone

Good find! Seeing as to how they used fiberglass for the bust they did the same for this. Always wondered if the hero props really had the beepers inside them. It sounds like it on-camera and the lights sync right but with TV you can never be sure. Keep it up, Chuck - you're getting closer to the bi...
