LOL. We could add 1967 Spider-Man to the list please! Without a doubt, John Mack, without a doub...

Re: Looks Like Shazam! is Coming to Blu-Ray!

It figures! I just bought the series on its regular DVD format two weeks ago. It's a great spin down Saturday morning memory lane and I have to admit some of the humor is really good that I missed back when I was a schnick. In any event, I have the set now so I'll go with that as is. Saving my...

Re: BAT 77 - A Victim's Victim (Detective #394)

" However I will agree with the larger point that when comic writers of the era tried to be progressive, or hip, or "relevant," or in touch with the younger generation in any sense, they usually fell flat on their faces. The Bronze Age is my favorite age of comics, but that sort of thing was clumsy...

Re: When did you first see the show?

I remember first watching a rerun of Hi Diddle Riddle in the summer of '67. I recall the Riddler looking terrifying with his mask which seemed to have no eyes on certain angles with the right light and shading and that evil grin only Frank could give (think of his wax statue in a later episode). Rea...

Batman Alumni in Famous Fritz Lang Film Noire

I just watched the famous film noire - While The City Sleeps - by the legendary Fritz Lang on TCM. Great movie. I was amazed to see the amount of future Batman alumni. The film stars Vincent Price/Egghead, George Sanders/Mister Freeze, Ida Lupino/Dr. Cassandra, Howard Duff/Cabala, Ralph Manza/Catwom...

Re: Scooby Doo Anniversary

It is hard to believe. I was a huge fan of the old Scooby Doo series and was watching from Saturday 1 back in September of '69. It's horror aspects seemed to go well in conjunction with watching Sir Graves Ghastley's horror movies later in the afternoon back on classic Detroit TV (I was too young an...

Yes, Keith, right on! I can really appreciate a portrait of the classic Trinity (more so than Z. Snyder's recently failed cinematic attempts).

Re: TV Series Dream Team

Though I never liked the concept of Batman versus Superman - I always preferred them as friends and allies i.e. in the World's Finest and earlier JLA titles as well as the various Super Friends series - I do really like the artwork for this. Back when I was a schnick it was exciting to get home from...

Re: Tweeterhead - Anyone Collect and Will There Be More?

For what it's worth I put in an order for Tweeterhead's Super Powers Batman back before Christmas. It was supposed to be released back around February, then it got pushed to May, and last word was July but the month is about up and still nothing. Tweeterhead seems to have really slowed down all fron...

Saw it at Monsters In Motion. LOVE IT! I'm a HUGE fan of the original movie series, especially the music. I'll be all over this like stink on a monkey! (so to speak) :D

Re: Hamilton Collection Batman sculpture

Yes, it's all linked to Bradford Exchange. I tried to have a look but as usual with all things up here in Happy Maple Leaf Land, anything U.S. Bradford-related gets rerouted to their boring Bradford X Canadian site. I mean BORING! If you're not big on the NHL than there's nothing to see!

Re: Other Great 60s Shows...

Like was just recently mentioned, I loved The Banana Splits, the theme song comes to mind every once in a while and I can’t get it out of my head. Also loved Mr. Ed, Adam 12, Dragnet. One of my favorite all-time shows came out in 1969, Room 222. Also one of my favorite openings and theme songs. Roo...
