Re: UPDATE: FUNKO Says BATMAN ‘66 Wave 2 Out This Summer

Man, I just can't understand the love for Funko balloon heads. I'm obviously missing something.

Re: Wayne Family Crest patch...

That crest is beautiful and, being British-based, is very similar to the crest of my old Canadian military regiment.

As for ascots, we also wore them in the regiment. Ascots - brought to you by Bruce Wayne and Fred of Scooby-Doo from Back In The Age of Cool! 8-)

Re: THE JOKER Looms Large on Final ARCHIE/BATMAN '66 #5 Cover

All these covers only reaffirm to me how glad I am that I gave up on DC and their now god-awful products called '"comic books".

Re: Hnery Cavill Is Out As Superman

I'm still not convinced Cavill's done, but I will say all the guesswork and rumor makes for the most media excitement the DCEU has generated in a long time. Maybe they should just skip actually making movies and concentrate on generating casting rumors and leaks. SprangFan, that's hilarious!

Don't be surprised if both Bond and Supes have a markedly different appearance soon.

Cryptic language to avoid The Red Pen.
So I've heard. ;)

Re: Henry Cavill Is Out As Superman

It's all over TV news and internet entertainment magazines. He's gone. https://deadline.com/2018/09/superman-henry-cavill-supergirl-warner-bros-1202463120/ Note how polite and positive WB's remarks were in their latest 'statement'. That's always the tell-tale sign like when a potential employer give...

Henry Cavill Is Out As Superman

Apparently contract talks fell apart and Henry Cavill walked away. Can't say I blame him. The way they wrote the character as a now angst-filled, regretful, and reluctant being killing the hero concept and bogging the icon down in non-emotional, 'one facial expression only' mud. He never had a chanc...

Don't think any of this made it into the 66 Omnibus, so now there has to be an Omnibus2 with Archie added, or it's not an Omnibus. Why didn't whoever made this series, connect with the DC Omnibus people, and....oh, ummm, never mind. Cue Yellow Oval....next!

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Keith, I got that Tales of the Dark Knight book back in 89 and it is a good read for the most part. It was the first time I ever saw the cover to Batman 227, even though I had read the story in Batman's Strangest Cases. As you can probably tell, I really love that cover and story. My only complaint...

Today's mail call - Reminisce Extra - Sep 2016.
Keith, I love the display rack for the magazines. It reminds me of the fast disappearance of another beloved item from another era - the magazine/newspaper store.

Re: New 2018 HALLMARK BATMAN ORNAMENTS!

Glad they are making the Riddler. Should have made a villain last year instead of the chopper. It sold poorly in stores. I love that Batcopter! Wish there was a 1/48th scale model kit of it. But you know which ornament I dislike the most? Life Magazine Batman. Oh well. That's life lol Keith, I did ...

Re: Joker Origin Movie

I am now convinced that the executives at Warner Bros. and DC Comics are those very same people who, back when we were all kids, we would tell them to go find us a left-handed monkey wrench or a bucket of steam or put them in the circular room and tell them to go stand in the corner and then we'd la...

Re: Joker Origin Movie

Not a fan of Baldwin's, his Trump schtick, or even of SNL for that matter as that show has long been a dead horse. The last time it was funny was in the pre-P.C. days of the late, but beloved Phil Hartman and Co. As for Alec, it seems the only time he comes across as a semblance of a decent human be...
