Comm. Gordon's Office - How High Up?

Riddle me this, fellow board members... How high up do you think Gordon's office was judging by the sweeping panoramic city view with skyscrapers seeming to be somewhat lower? It looks like he occupies somewhere around the 40th or 50th floor. And yet he was only 3 floors up when Blaze somersaulted o...

Obscure Sport Reference?

Does anyone know if Cesar Romero, William Dozier, or anyone else involved in the production was a fan of the sport Jai Alai? Why I ask is while watching episode 91 - Pop Goes The Joker - I looked at the sign for Joker's new art school and noticed the order of the first letters: Joker art institute -...

Where Was Gotham?

We all know watching the show that they either filmed outdoor shots in the Fox lot or out around the L.A. area and used stock footage of New York City to give the huge metropolis impression. That said, as a kid for some reason I always pictured Gotham City being somewhere lower on the east coast aro...

Re: Did anybody buy any of the stuff from the back of Comic

Wow! I'm recalling there was so much stuff in those ads. I remember the X-Ray glasses with the swirled lenses as well as the big glow-in-the-dark Frankenstein that hung on the wall. I also recall something about a submarine that would fit one person that I always thought back then would've been cool...

Re: From Riddler to Clay face

Filmation's 1977 Saturday morning series was definitely more goofy (or annoying if you consider Bat-Mite). I still like to watch it as the music was a Filmation staple you heard in other series that very same morning such as Tarzan or Shazam from Kaptain Kool and the Kongs' Krofft Super Show. My fav...

Re: So were any of the 66 villians destined to be awful?

I's gots to goes with pretty much Season 3. Bad acting, bad writing, cheap production... This pulled down any and all potential no matter who was involved. The one exception being the Joker's Flying Saucer episode which did give me the creeps as a kid with the background music, searchlights, Chief O...

Re: CAPTAIN ACTION to do BATMAN outfit

The Batman suit looks great even if only a picture for the moment. If this is the area they are thinking in then I really have no problem with whatever they put out. As long as it's anything but DC's current obsession with that 'Frank Miller - Year One' look in comics and merchandising which I absol...

Re: New 1966 Batman merchandise FANTASY thread

I'll second the motion for all of the above.

I'm also still waiting (hoping) for Hot Wheels to decide to put out a 1:18 scale Batboat and Batcopter to go with the Batmobile and Batcycle from the other year. Also, a 1:18 scale of Joker's Mirthmobile would be a bonus! BOOM! DING! DING!

Re: Billy Loyd JR sad news

Unfortunately, I never met or spoke with Billy Loyd Sr. on the board here. He appears to have been quite the Bat-fan and an incredible King Tut from what I've seen in various photos. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing and hope the very best for his son, Andrew, in recovering. My condolences to the ...

Re: My Batman Room

Wow, that's a virtual Bat-Store! I LOVE IT! Three questions if you don't mind. 1)Where did you get the Bat logo rug? 2)Which toy Batcave is that down on the floor? 3)Which larger scale 1966 Batmobile is that in the display case (under the clock and above the Kenner Batmobile) with Batman and...

Catfan,

I had no idea what Batman 1969 was. I just checked it out. I'll stick with George Barris' timeless rolling marvel! ;)
