No Meijer near me but I really love that classic Detective cover with Joker and Penguin.

Re: "NEW" "BATMAN " COMIC BOOK !!

Oh man! Don't get me started on everything that has gone wrong with DC and Batman since back around 1999. I despise his current look with the black and grey. I really despise the oval-less bat logo and that "It shows too much in the dark and gives him away" line doesn't wash. The exposed part of Bat...

Re: Has anyone seen the new HW 89 BM?

Are you talking the 1:24 scale or much smaller 1:43? I saw the 1:24 at my local comic store, but they're asking 85 bucks for it which is a little steep as far as I see it. Nice work, though.

False Face - Should He Have Appeared More?

Next to Joker's first appearance, my next all-time favorite episode was Malachi Throne as False Face. I seem to have loved the really spine-tingling creepy villains. As a kid I would get the severe willies everytime I saw him click his heels dressed as the baker with the mask and laughing during the...

Re: Question about detailed Inventory of Batman 1966 Gadgets

I liked his mini-hotline phone from Season 3. The original cell phone way before its time. In any event, it seems you almost have to keep a sharp eye and memory out each episode as it seems they were always coming up with something. Here's a site that has a listing (no photos): http://adamwest.tripo...

Re: Neil Hamilton in a 1933 movie

That was ultra-cool! No way back then he could have ever known he'd be forever internationally famous later on as straight-as-an-arrow Commissioner Gordon.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You Acquired?

Okay then, I will post some pics of my version of the Super Friends/80s Batmobile when I complete it. I'm still waiting for it to arrive. For the moment I'm contenting myself (somewhat  ) putting together the Polar Lights 1966 batcycle from the movie and show. For my money it's way too small in...

If You Could Have Met....

It has occurred to me numerous times when watching the show or movie that most of those who were involved are sadly no longer with us. That said, many of us have had the good fortune to meet Adam, Burt, Julie, Lee M. and some others that guest starred in the show such as Francine York (Bookworm's Ms...

Re: Did Anyone Watch The Top 20 Dynamic Duo Show Sunday nite

I watched it and was feeling very disappointed until I realized every show/ cast duo mentioned seemed to also be out on DVD. Batman being the sole exception in this day and age. Because of that it bothered me that they referred to all these so-called "dynamic duos" when the term instantly brings to ...

That's awesome! Seeing vehicles and meeting cast members from 2 iconic shows.... I miss those days. There will never be another great period of the creativity of the 60s TV programs or even into the 70s.

Re: The Penguin Goes Straight question

My take on it was it was set up by the Penguin in advance. I believe the TV show starts after Penguin puts his plan into action in order to to confound the viewers as much as the startled theatergoers.
