Re: Adam West in new PBS Superheroes documentary Oct 15th

I thought the special was decent...although to be honest, it didn't really cover all that much ground that hasn't been discussed in similar shows and documentaries over the past few years. I had 30% off worth of member credit at Barnes and Noble that was going to expire at the end of this weekend, s...

Re: can the actors wear the costumes now?

I agree with Andy. And for the record, Adam appeared in full costume in a magazine photoshoot around 1995, with a new cowl and costume created by Wally Wingert. You can read up on it over at Wally's page here: http://www.wallyontheweb.com/archive/batcowl/awcostume.php And later still, Adam DID wear ...

Re: '66 Newspaper Strip Collections by IDW

Thanks for the update. I had read earlier in the year that this was coming, but hadn't seen anything in a while, and was beginning to wonder if it was really going to be released.

I found the cover:

Re: SPOILERS: Just Read Batman 66 Comic #1-Discussion Thread

I just spun thru that new issue #4, and from what I see, they put the black back into the front of Batman's cowl. (Not in the cover image, but the interior artwork.) I wonder if that's the way these particular artists originally designed this one, or the black was added after people mentioned missin...

Batsuits / Azarian Collection on VH1

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I don't see it... There's a show on Vh1 Classic called "For What It's Worth", and the two hosts went to visit the Azarian Collection of 60's TV memorabilia. The segment did include the original Batman, Robin and Riddler costumes from the show, alo...

Burt vs. Adam's cape?

During that Pioneers of TV show the other night, Burt told the story about how Adam used to use his cape to block Burt from the camera while filming the show. I vaguely remember something like this also being referred to in the "Return to the Batcave" tv movie. I can't recall any scenes in...

Re: Beetle Bailey, 3/27/66-"Fatman And Slobber"

I don't know whether or not anyone would feel the need to own this strip, but it turns out that a book containing all the Beetle Bailey daily and sunday strips from 1966 came out a couple of months ago.

How truly horrible.

Here's an early report...no new information, but a heart breaking photo for everyone on the board:

Re: Filmation Batman - 1968

I still prefer the "seizure inducing" version to the mid-90's retooled version that ran on the USA Network and then later on Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Re: Filmation Batman - 1968

And I'm pretty sure Warner Home Video holds the rights now, not Filmation. Perhaps it's a property that they're holding on to until after they run out of current material, say, after Dark Knight Rises comes out. I mean, let's face it, after that, the well is going to start running pretty dry on Bat-...

Re: Congratulations on the new site!

Terrific job Scott! I had some photos I was going to upload for everyone, including the one of Adam and Burt pointing at the camera and giving the thumb's up, but I was going to wait until the new board was up....And here it is, you already had that pic and beat me to it! The new board looks really ...
