Re: 1966 Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Comics

The Jokers happy Victims was from a Script in the 1940s from BATMAN #52 art by Bob Kane. I'm not aware of the other pop tart comics although DC was notorious for re using scripts not only from the same comics but re-adapting them from others. The art on the pop tarts comics was from: Carmine Infant...

Re: Lewis Wilson BATMAN Fans?

Hi Chuck, Always happy to help out. You have helped us out with your expertise so many times. I was trying to do a comparison of Johnny's Cape and Kirk Alyn's Superman cape. I know Kirk's costume was a light Blue/gray (why some say Gray some Blue) and the Cape a brick red leaning towards the brown s...

Re: Lewis Wilson BATMAN Fans?

chuck, Johnny told me back in '97 when I worked with him that his Vest was Red/ Maroon just like you have it. His gloves and boots were also the same color. The gloves were electrical / welding gloves with the gantlets added and the boots were hand made to fit his feet. He said the boots were the mo...

Re: 1949 Robin Vest Replica

That is so cool Chuck. And I know the color is spot on from the conversation I had with Johnny about his Costume. We presented him with an archery set when we paled around with him back in '97and the color of the quiver we gave him was very close to his Robin vest he remarked. Great Piece can't wai...

Re: The Phantom

Larry, Yes The Phantom's Captain Action Costume has been re-issued. It was by Playing Mantis when they had the license. Also there have been several Phantom Halloween costumes over the years, most by Collegeville. The rarest one being the late 1950's version. I have most in my collection, with the ...

Re: New Variants from Figures Toy line-- Surf's Up!

I really Love their stuff. Here they have gone to great lengths to get the details in the baggies, surfboards, and other costumes correct. It's a shame they can not seem to get the Jokers coat, vest and pants right. I did forego the Mattel line and decided to go with these instead, they did ...

Re: Batarang

COPPRODUCTIONS, Thank you . I'm glad you enjoyed the photos of my Batarangs. My PROP AKA Publicity Batarang does not have any marks on it other than the hole for the Batrope and a small pin hole for hanging on the prop room wall. My Best guess is that the rectangle was a magnet or something similar ...

Hi All , I thought I would re-post this photo from an earlier one on the old board. Here is a picture of my reproduction Batarangs and my original TV show used prop I purchased it from Burt Ward back in 1997. The second photo is of my friend Randy posing with it and Burt. You can see it was used in ...

Great Job Chuck. The most accurate one I've ever seen. Looks like you got it down right to the Champagne straw used for the hair. I know the mask was made from a British dish Towel and the hair was Champagne packing straw from an interview with the costume designer I found in the Disney archives. Re...

Re: Looking for info on the Batnoculars

I am absolutely certain that I have the right kind of mini binoculars for a base. And as you can see, the yellow faceplate does, indeed, reflect on the chrome lens tubes, making them appear yellow or gold, while the rim around the lens still looks silver, as the posted screen grabs look. Cheers! RR...
